Very bad experience renting from Tom. Landlord obligations were not fulfilled, terrible at best. I went no less than 1 month w/o the use of the oven. Tom stated that the house would be painted, the garage door would be repaired, the hole in the garage ceiling would be repaired, the front door would be replaced along with the trim because it could not be secured properly after a break in, etc. A span of ""YEARS"" went by since the first promise was made & after I moved out the repairs were still outstanding. No one deserves this type of treatment. It may make a frugal homeowner happy for their property to be managed in this manner, however, everyone loses in the end. I hope this resonates with Tom & he never treats anybody else in this manner. He can choose to overlook this & act like it never happened, however, that's bad business & will only lead to his business being overlooked in the future. more

We bought our home from Tom Pollitt in 05 and we had to PCS in 08. The house needed repairs prior to move-in and Tom was able to help us with most of the cosmetic work. Tom has been our property manager since 08 and he has gone way beyond the call of duty. He has kept our property rented and any repairs that were needed, were handled promptly and by competent contractors. Tom is able to do most repairs with his workers and this saves the landlord time and money in trying to accomplish this from thousands of miles away. Tom and Eve are a great team and I have recommended them to many of my military friends. Keep up the good job Tom ......you are truly appreciated!!!! more

I rented a home through Tom Pollitt's property management service and lived there for 2 years. I dealt exclusively with Eve throughout the entire experience. My experience with them was excellent from start to finish. From showing to closing Eve was always courteous and on time and pleasant to deal with. The rental contract was standard and the process was very hassle free. The home I was occupying required several repairs while I lived there. Each time I reported an issue it was dealt with accordingly. Tom Pollitt has a DIY handyman approach to fixing the majority of issues with his properties and on one occasion this resulted in a wait time of several days before some repairs were made to the house. Specifically it consisted of a broken mailbox and an issue with one of the utility boxes, but it was nothing to justify an emergency. However once when the central heat and air system stopped working Tom sent an A/C service repairman to the house and the issue was handled promptly. At the time that I was renting from Tom the rent for my property was well below what it could have been considering the size of the home and what I made for housing allowance. It was in a quiet neighborhood of single family homes and I never had any problems in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from Tom Pollitt in the future. more

I had a terrible experience renting from this guy. Calls and letters for repairs was absolutely ignored until they got tired of receiving them. When any repairs were made, they were made by this guy with old shoddy equipment & on more than one occasion, I was blamed for the situation & asked to give some money to help in the repair cost. My deposit was never returned & I never received a statement of how my deposit was used. Everything stated here is absolutely true! Pros: Easy to understand contract Cons: Poor customer service more
