This is a great, quirky restaurant. I take colleagues and clients there for dinner. I love that they try to source as much as they can locally and they change their menu seasonally.
First the short comings: the wine list is small and the wines don't do the food justice. The only other weakness is that I find their pastas to be good but not up to the same level as their mains. Granted the bar is pretty high.
The plusses: the mushroom soup served the winter of 2008/09. My god it was wonderful. The mains I've had are excellent as are the desserts. I love the intimacy of the place. The service has been top-notch every time I've been there.
I've not been there since they changed to the spring 2009 menu but look forward to the opportunity. As a result I cannot recommend anything specific. Past history is they do great baked chicken, lamb, beef tenderloin and risotto.
I haven't tried their small plates/tapas. I suspect they are good.
My suggestion is go there and try it.
