Excellent Selection and Professional Experienced Serivce 3/25/2010

We just completed a major construction project and were warned not to go to tile showcase because it may too expensive. However, we purchased all of our floor, bathroom, wall, fireplace and other decorative tiles here and loved ever minute of the experience. Great sales advise on colors, grout, amount to purchase with minimal waste. True these tiles are more upscale in appearance but not necesarily in price. We had an excellent experience and recommend Lisa at the Natick store and John at the Watertown store. Pros: best selection and design ideas Cons: store hours more

Disaster- be careful 5/7/2009

Tile Showcase is not a place you want to order from. Fine to look but buy elsewhere. They forced me to pay to reorder tile that was $140 a piece when the lot came in the wrong color. Rather than taking responsiblitiy I had to pay twice for very expensive tile. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Pros: nice product Cons: Tile showcase does not stand behind product more

Hi-end Tiles; Pay to Play! 4/27/2009

I've been to all the tile stores in the area - Tile Showcase has really eye-catching displays and at least a couple of experienced, hardworking sales-designers who are very helpful. Whatever you do, do NOT make a cold visit - call ahead and arrange an appointment with a sales rep. You will get dedicated attention. In general do NOT go on Saturday - they don't make appointments because the place is full of lookers. Only go on Saturday if you have a specific need (seems counterintuitive - schedule an appointment if you don't know what you're doing, just drop by only if you know what you're doing!). They always have sales and specials. However, tiling itself can be a luxury renovation. My advice: if you want to pay to play, go to Tile Showcase. These kinds of tiles don't get much cheaper, so price is not an issue. However, if you can do your own tiling design, and if you're OK with the stuff at the big megastores, by all means go with them. You will seriously save 50-75% or more on the cost of tiles. That's how much more you're spending at these places. What you get is *design* - someone will help you choose and decide if it's going to look good. But you pay for it. I think it's like eating out at a nice restaurant - you can save a ton of money by grilling a steak from the supermarket, or you can pay a lot of money for a steak dinner. Your call.... Pros: Great selection, knowledgeable staff Cons: Tiling is not cheap more

Great selection and even better service 9/27/2007

We were looking to renovate our bathroom floor and kitchen floor. We looked at a number of tile stores and found tile showcase was the best. The products and the selection they have is very extensive. The servce was amazing, they went above and beyond for us. They helped explain what would work best for our type of situation. If your looking for great products with a great selection and even better customer service you have to go to tile showcase. Pros: products, selection, service Cons: dont display prices, but the staff is very helpful more

Nice stuff, horrible customer service, never got to find out about prices... 5/18/2007

We are about to embark in a big renovation and have been looking for tile for a while. We have been to Tile Showcase in Watertown twice and both times service has been really bad. You have to register as you come in and, since there are no prices to be found anywhere, it is really necessary to talk to someone even if you have a pretty good idea of what you want. On our first visit, on a Saturday morning, we walked around for a while before we could talk to one of the assistants. Eventually someone came to help us, she was nice and informative but was clearly in a rush and after a few minutes she said we had to go assist other customers and it would be better for us to come during the week. Since they close at 5:00pm and we work, the best we could do for a second visit was leave work early to be there at 4:30pm. There was only one other customer when we arrived and she was waiting to be helped. After about 5 minutes an assistant showed up. She helped the other customer for about 5 minutes and when the customer left, she dissappeared. We waited 5 more minutes until she came back. It took us about 10 minutes to get a couple of questions answered, because she would leave (to talk on the phone or else) after each vague, uninterested answer. We wanted marble for two bathroom floors, tub surround and countertops, so you would have thought she might have wanted to make a sale... When we got tired of waiting we left (she was in the next room chatting with another employee.) Too bad, they have beautiful materials and nice displays but I cannot imagine having to deal with the lack of professionalism or disrespectful manner some of the staff show. We will not be back for this project or future work. Pros: Nice selection of high quality materials Cons: Some employees are extremely rude and unprofessional more
