DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This place charges 2 to 3 times more than most, they do a HORRIFIC job and the workers DON'T GIVE A SHI*. Just a bad all around experience. Call anyone...

Thrifty Tree service got a contract to trim my neighborhood.\r I trimmed a tree and placed the trimmings in the street and asked is they could chip it for me since they would be there with the chipper. I offered to pay. The foreman said ""what you did is illegal and the city is going to hit you with a $500 fine for dumping."" Then David Aviram said he would't do it for less than $150 dollars even though it was very convenient for him, as they were removing literally hundreds of tons of branches. It was a small amount, would have take a few minutes for them and I placed exactly where they would be chipping. Then he suggested I call a ""Mexican."" What does that mean? \r \r He didn't treat me like a neighbor or a homeowner where he just received a City contract. He treated me like an older guy he had cornered and could fleece. Generous? Neighborly? Professional? None of the above. \r \r People who don't respect or want to truly help the regular citizen in this city should not be allowed huge contracts to serve them. He told his guys to not touch one leaf of my branches.\r Weeirdo. more

The worst company in LA!!! They will damage your home, charge you double compared to everyone else and then lie about any damages and the owner is where is starts!!!! I have a video camera on my property and it caught the damages, but the owner Dave still tried to deny it. What a P. O. S. he is! Stay away! more

I called thirfty a few weeks ago so they could give me an estimate on removing 3 large Pine in my back yard. The owner came out and was more than 30 minutes late to our appointment. I wasn't upset becasue I didn't have anywhere to go but it right away through up a red flag. I recieved an estiamte a couple days later and thought the price was high but I didn't want to hastle getting other estiamtes. How I wish I would have been more diligent! My walls are all scratched up from the employees dragging brush agianst my house. My lawn is damaged and three sprinkler heads were broken. They didn't bother reparing anything. And to top everything off, some tools in my shed ended up missing. Go ahead and hire these guys if you think this is acceptable. more
