It's got something for everyone and it's all perfectly balanced. Exceptional pub food - basically restaurant quality, but not chi chi nor expensive (FAR better than the Burren's fare). Big TV's for sports fans, but they don't dominate the ambience or the crowd. The music is eclectic, some Irish, some Americana, some hipster, some funk. There are plenty of exotic imports, microbrews / artsy beers and plenty of normal beers. Aficionado or not, you'll like your beer here. The scene has something for everyone too. It's rowdy on Superbowl Sunday, quiet for lunch; good place for poker or dominoes, not not just a sit-down place; packed solid on Friday / Saturday nights, but open and calm enough for the laptop crowd during the day. Pick-up lines won't work here, but you will meet interesting people here, worth chatting with.
Pros: Great balance of all cool bar elements - good beers, good scene, good food, good music, interesting people
Cons: Service, though very friendly and competant, it can be slow
