The Transformation Studio

Sarah saved me! She agreed to do my wedding make-up with 2 days notice. I went to her beautfiul and soothing studio just plain old me, and I walked out a fab bride. It took 2 and a half hours, but my mother and I were beyond pleased with the results. You are welcome to look at my before and afters on Sarah's webpage. I used Sarah as my wedding and reception makeup artist. She did an absolutely beautiful job! The makeup was impeccable, exactly what I had asked for and way more than I could have thought of myself. More importantly, she was very calm during all the craziness. She worked with our schedule and was just plain fun to have around in the hours before the ceremony. I only wish I would have had her do my makeup for all the wedding events! Pros: beautiful makeup! Cons: wish the studio wasn't so far away more

My valima makeup: AMAZING ......... this woman is talented beyond words! She's a true professional, so easy to work with, listens to your 'wants' and incorporates her ideas with yours for a fabulous look - so many to choose from it's hard to pick just one....she can do anything! I was most impressed by her eye-shade color palette. Once you walk through those doors....you will for sure walk out a diva! I chose the transformation studio for my wedding after seeing Sarah's work on facebook photo. I have to say that after my first consultation session with her I was convinced that I'd made the right choice. Sarah isn't just a makeup artist; she's a phenomenon. Her candor, wit and empathy are just a few of the qualities that reflect in her work. Prior to booking her I'd had several sessions with artists around town with lines like Chanel, Bobbi Brown and MAC, and none of them ever bothered to listen to my requests. My trial appointment with Sarah was enough to convince me that apart from being meticulous about her products, she was dedicated to giving me the look I'd imagined. We sat down and discussed all the details of specific events and I booked her as the artist for the entire wedding. I also bought mini packages for two of my best friends. To say she did a superb job would be injustice to her skill, but all I can say is that in her I gained a new friend. Her background in psych not only makes her an excellent listener ( vital for any artist working with harried brides), but also an astute observer and advisor. Her studio is clean and simple. I'm very particular about the ambiance, regardless of the product. On two days I went to her studio and because she's so popular there were tons of brides back to back...so my only advice would be to book her early and just pay a little more and get her to come to you. My husband met her for the first time during pre-reception prep and warmed up to her instantly because of great sense of humor. We highly recommend her and the studio, and inshallah plan on hiring her for all future gigs within our families. more

I recently had a lovely experience taking a 20 hr makeup class. Sarah was a wonderful teacher. She shared all the little details about doing makeup that others don't tell or don't know. For years I have wanted guidence on choosing the correct brush for what I want to do in a particular area of the face. I finally understand. She is not only a talented teacher and artist, she is one of the nicest most caring people I have ever had the honor of knowing. Pros: open/sharing teacher, beautiful facility more

Well I am kind of a reserved person. I take time to become friends with someone. But when I met Sarah for the first time, it seemed like I've known her for a long time. Thats how sarah is...love her for that :D I've been to the transformation studio a few time. I have gotten a facial and a hair cut there. The staff was very friendly and professional. I also went for the belly dancing class once. I loved that I didn't feel uncomfortable on any of the visits. Sarah also sent out an email asking for any suggestions or improvements that needs to be made (normally no one takes time to do that) . PS : I wasn't forced to write this review...I just did it because I loved the place and services I got there. Pros: Sarah is really friendly..and the space is really relaxing Cons: none I can think of more
