The Stratford At Hillcrest Towne Center

The courtesy officer here SUCKS!!!! We have lived here for 8 months and I don't even know what he looks like. One night I had someone trying to break in our apartment and I called the courtesy officer. He called me back but he never showed up to check our apartment. I had to call Winston Salem Police Department and have someone come and check the apartment because he would not show up. There is people parking in handicap parking spots that are definately not handicap. There are people spinning wheels through out the night. The courtesy officer needs to be walking around the apartment complex every now and then checking. The only time you see his car is at his apartment. Thats it!!!! He SUCKS!!! more

The trash situation is horrible! We pay a monthly fee for trash and you are lucky if you can even make it close to the dumpster some days. The dumpster is often times full thus leaving residents to leave trash in the dumpster walk way. It is just a nasty stinky mess. Then management leaves notes on the dumpster saying you will be fined if you do not put your trash in the dumpster! Well empty it and we can!!\r \r The dog poop! Just gross! In the grass, on the sidewalks, in the parking lot. I can't even sit on my patio without seeing it. I have complained about this only for them to say we will do something about it and nothing happens!!\r \r Snow/ice removal! HA! A joke!! I have missed days or been late for work because I cannot make it down the sidewalk let alone out the parking lot. They do not put salt down on the sidewalks or the parking lot. They don't shovel! I can honestly say that there has only been twice that they have hired someone to clear the parking lot, but the sun had already done most of the work! I have talked to management on numerous occasions about this and just the overall safety. Management has not taken into account the fact that the kids have to walk across the snowy icy sidewalks and parking lot to get to the leasing office to catch the bus. It is to the point where I have to go stay with friends just so that I can make it to work and I am paying rent to The Stratford at Hillcrest and cant even stay in my own home. \r \r Since I have been there, there have been numerous turnovers in the staff. My interactions with them have been very limited because I cannot stand incompetence. There was one point when the safety of my apartment had been compromised when one of the staff members failed to lock my door back after they had been in there. Their response was 'that is weird, it has never happened before'. This last time concerning snow removal, I was flat out lied to. They claimed that they had been working on snow removal for two days! This is a complete lie! I have a major problem when I am paying you and you are lying. \r \r As much as I love the inside of my apartment, there are just too many issues. More importantly, I feel as though the compliants and inquiries are falling on deaf ears!! Sorry, I do not suggest The Stratford at Hillcrest to anyone. They really need to do a lot better because it could really be a great community!\r more
