My wife is a gifted cook and we consider ourselves very hard to impress. When we want a special meal, we usually make it ourselves. However, my parents love to go out to eat and they wanted to treat us for my wife's birthday. Everything was wonderful from the smoked trout salad to the vanilla bean creme brulee. Even our two picky teenagers found entrees they liked. We had the pork chops, pasta with marinara sauce and chicken, ahi tuna with cilantro, halibut with mango salsa, broiled scallops and lamb chops. I had a bite of almost everything (allergic to scallops >:-() ) and it was all superb. For dessert, I had the creme brulee, Mom and Dad split the espresso cheesecake and the birthday girl had the chocolate torte (the teenagers went to the bar to watch a soccer game on TV). The atmosphere was lovely and charming. We were in a small private room off the main dining room that just improved the experience. The service was excellent and overall we had a wonderful experience. Both the owner and the manager came to our table to see if everything was satisfactory. Being a do-it-yourself foodie I always get sticker shock when the check comes, but in this case I think it was definitely worth it.
Pros: Varied and creative menu, excellent food and service
