Best

This was our third trip to OLB. The first two were horrendous due to the service, but things seem to have changes. Our server was very friendly, prompt, and took great care of us....

Glad to have given them a 2nd chance 12/8/2010

Went back a second time. Food was incredible. Service was immaculate. Glad I gave these guys a second chance. more

Kudos to the chef at Old Blinking Light! 11/30/2010

Had a filet mignon steak at OBL on a Friday night, then had a steak in San Francisco at a highly rated restaurant there and I have to say I have NEVER had a filet this delicious. more

I am definitley planning on going back 11/23/2010

First of all the service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing and did not try and push us out the door even though we lingered enjoying the summer evening. The food was very good (ribs were excellent and love the duck fat fried potatoes, halibut good but my wife didn't enjoy the pairing of the sweet halibut with strawberries with the very spice rice side, thought each was good on its own but the pairing was too overwhelming in their differences.)Did see they have a great happy hour menu that we are planning on going back for. Definitely planning on going back again. I think this place had some problems when they first opened but right now I would recommend them to anyone looking for an enjoyable evening out. more

Great restaurant doing big things! 11/16/2010

The Old Blinking Light Is a hip, trendy, cozy, comfortable dining emporium for guests of all ages. The atmosphere pulsates with a positive attitude. The food delivers with passionate flavors assembled into colorful dishes that are not disguised by flamboyance. Also, they have an attractive wine list both, in quality and price. Service is refreshingly polished and refined. In an area that is developing to be bound by chain restaurants and hopefully not gagged by chain restaurants, the OBL has the potential to be one of Denver's really great independent restaurants. It can hold its own anywhere more

You gotta try the ribs! 11/8/2010

Great Southwestern cuisine with a modern flair. The pizza makes a perfect lunch and the ribs are to die for. more

Unique food with an authentic New Mexican flare. Great traditional margaritas. Love the outdoor fire pit to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. more

Go here to experience flavor 10/25/2010

If you enjoy Southwestern food, go here and experience flavor. Forget the mediocrity of a chain restaurant. I have greatly enjoyed 3 meals here. The food is prepared with care, featuring a menu that shows creativity and originality. I recently had a meal of 3 appetizers (green chile, truffle fries, and warm beet salad). All food was seasoned correctly, at right temp, and presented well. more

Good, original food 3/5/2010

I love the ambiance with the firepit, candles and live music. The food was great and we were blown away by the service. Some menu items change periodically and they have a bar menu if you just want to grab a non-fancy bit. Great for a change of pace from all of the chain restaurants in Highlands Ranch. Pros: Service, Sweet Potato fries, martinis more

Complete package 8/15/2009

I love kicking back by the fire pit with some duck tacos and a beer or having a romantic night out for a perfectly cooked fillet with the hubby in their unique, organic atmosphere. Beautifully plated comfort food with a southwestern kick. Make sure to try the truffle fries. Pros: food, service, decor Cons: need more beer on tap more

Blinking Service 1/25/2008

We picked this restaurant by having seen it one afternoon while shopping at Tattered Cover near by. We did our homework by looking up the restaurant on-line to get an idea of the menu and price. When we arrived we were greeted quickly and told it would just a moment before being seated - which it was. The decor is all over the board. Industrial metal meets back lit rock walls meets fire features with huge rusted chains hanging in the back. I'm not sure what they were going for. The restaurant has two locations, Denver and Taos, with the location in Taos being the original. While I?ve been to Taos many times ? I can?t imagine it makes any more sense there either. We thought the prices were slightly on the high side. My husband ordered the fish tacos and they were very small. My sister ordered the buffalo burger and it seemed like a decent value. I had the ranch salad and liked it a lot. It reminded me of the Macho salad at Cherry Creek Grill. The service was slow. Our waiter forgot to bring a beer we had ordered. The patio looks like a great place to spend a summer evening so we?ll give it a try again in a couple of months. Pros: Great looking patio. Cons: Odd decor, spotty service. more

Not worth the price 9/21/2007

My husband and I tried Old Blinking Light twice. It has a very interesting menu with a sort of Tex-Mex/Southwestern flair on every item. The first time we thought the food was pretty good, a little over priced but good enough to go back again. The last time we went we were really disappointed. The food was very average and not even enough to fill us up. We had the ceveche app. which was completely overloaded with onions. My husband had steak - nothing to write home about - and I had the ""tasteless"" Mahi Mahi...for $24! We declined getting dessert there since our dinner bill was already over $80 (and we weren't full...yikes!) We had to go over to Cold Stone afterwards. Pros: Great ambience, decor and lighting in dining room Cons: Expensive, food not up to par, they lie when they say they'll send you a free dessert for filling out the comment card!!! more
