It has a smaller menu, that sometimes I wish was bigger, however, what they do, they do very well. The change the menu occasionally which is nice. I saw the head chef at the Farmer's Market buying local produce for the restaurant which made me very happy, and only makes me love the restaurant more.
My husband and I love to come here when we have a sitter, and sit by the fire outside and talk. I've come for meals with groups of friends, for dessert and coffee a different time, and for drinks and appetizers many times. All of my experiences have been great. The food is interesting and yummy. I do wish they had more vegetarian and vegan main dishes, but I always find something I like on the menu.
They have a Happy Hour during the week, I think from 3-6pm where they have drinks for $3 (some beers, some wine, and I had a margarita once) and they have a few appetizers for $3 also. Otherwise the wine and drink list is on the more expensive side - expect to spend $10 on a cocktail or for their least expensive wine.
I have seen kids here many times, and they seem happy, and they haven't bothered me, however I wouldn't take my kids here. It's also a fun place to take people (non-chain) that are visiting from out of state, if you don't feel like driving all the way up to Denver for dinner.
