Escape and Enjoy! 5/22/2005

I know I am in for a couple of hours of relaxation and indulgence when I walk through the Melting Pot's doors! You are never rushed, the food is delicious, drinks are fun, the service is great, and the rest of the world disappears. It's great for a party, too! You can take over one of the front rooms and have a fun time! more

Outstanding 5/16/2005

The Melting Pot in Kendall is my favorite restaurant. It is beautiful! I love the cheese fondue, YUM! The salads are amazing and the main course is as entertaining as it is delicious. We are never rushed and I enjoy sipping wine and relaxing with my date. Our service is warm and friendly, yet professional. I love this restaurant! more

Awsome Place 5/20/2004

This is a great place to go on a date or even with a group. It's not cheap and the food is very rich, so it's definitely not an everyday place, but it's totally worth every penny and the absolute greatest place for special occasions or if you just wanna splurge on something extra special. The Melting Pot is an instant favorite. My wife and I had dinner there and it was a great atmosphere. For a nice romantic get a way from the norm, it a great way to get the night started right. I love The Melting Pot... It's wonderful. It has great service, the staff is always on top of everything, the ambiance of the restaurant is great, everything is clean, and I never have to wait to be seated. The food quality is great, and the way the servers know how long to keep the food in the pots is outstanding, there are no more words to describe the experience The Melting pot gave me and gives to others who have never dined there before, this is a type of restaurant that anyone would definitly go back and eat at, because everything is romantic and perfect. more

At last a restaurant that is beautiful, provides great service and has entertaining food! No movie needed! This was all I needed for a satisfying night out. Cheese, wine, chocolate and the best martinis! Kendalls best spot to escape the mundane! I recommend the feast for two. The cheese and chocolate with this dinner is to die for. Our service was the best in town. Pros: service, quality, atmosphere more

Wonderful Romantic Time 10/3/2002

My fiancee took me to this restaurant to celebrate our ""23 months together"". They took about 30 minutes to seat us (even though we had reservations), but we sat at the bar and had a chocolate martini, with a Hershey's kiss inside(highly recommended!). My fiancee had ordered a special package that includes flowers and balloons at our table, and a polaroid picture taken at the table. So it was a great surprise when I got to our table and saw the flowers and the balloons. The service was very good - the waitress left us alone most of the time which is what we wanted for a romantic dinner. Of course, the food was delicious and their chocolate fondue desserts are definitely the BEST! It was expensive (over $140 for just the 2 of us) but we're really looking forward to going back. Pros: Awesome desserts, Very rommantic Cons: Expensive, Long wait more

I really don't see anything romantic about paying someone for food that I am going to cook myself! For that I can cook myself at home with a romantic setting of candlelight, fine music and wine!!! more

I have to say,I would not go back. Dinner for 4 with wine $225.? We got the giant combination special and the food all tastes the same after it comes out of the oil. The service was ok at best. We had to ask for alomst everything twice. The $60.00 1999 pinot noir was flat and dead tasting, I don't think they store the wine properly. The kids liked it, they thought it was fun to cook the food. For that kind of $ I will go somwhere else next time. Pros: kids like it, easy parking, nice booths Cons: poor value, so-so service more

The reviewer who said Melting Pot sucks and went away hungry must be the owner of the restaurant across the street that is going broke. The food here is consistently great, the atmosphere cozy and the service excellent. And you invariably leave STUFFED. Any of the cheese fondues are phenomenal and the milk chocolate fondue for dessert has to be one of the best ways to end any meal. The thing is so good I'm amazed it's legal. The rest of the fondues, whether meat or seafood and whether cooked in broth or oil, range from solid good to excellent. This is a great place to come on a date, great food, romantic atmosphere and fun. BRAVO! Pros: Chocolate fondue!, Fun, Cozy Cons: Not centrall located, Hard to get table more

Indulge in a sinful meal of fondue! Dip breads and veggies in a silky swiss cheese heated by electric fixtures in each table. Privacy is always assured here in the compartmentalized booths. Interesting and fulfilling 8/15/2002

Dinner at The Melting Pot was very interesting as well as satisfying. The portions were large and had a nice variety. The meal was well separated into courses and led to very interesting conversation from one to the other. The ambiance was very nice and made you feel like you were the only persons there. It is absolutely the best restaurant for special occasions. It is fun to cook everything yourself. It's entertainment as well as great food. The seating is very intimate and the service is wonderful. It was Funnn.. Fondue! 8/9/2002

My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary last night. The experience was to die for. Our server Mike was attentive and professional. The fiesta cheese was great and I loved the spicy french quarter. Only regret was not having enough room for dessert. I will definitely save room next time. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Although I don't go to it often everytime I get to it's a new experience. Especially now that they moved into a new location which has more spacing than the other one. The food is wonderful especially the foundues. This place is dripping with ambiance. I have been there several times and the food not to mention the ambiance is amazing. The best part is dessert!
