With a name like The Keg one would expect this to be a bad fraternity bar. And while part of the retaurant is a bar that's been sectioned off from the rest, that's not the section I'm writing about. I made reservations for a monday near Valentine's day, and the waitress asked me if it was an anniversary. I said yes, so they reserved us the most romantic spot in the entire restaurant, right in front of the fireplace. Over the speakers the soft sound of Nina Simone was heard. The atmosphere was casual, yet intimate, with an upscale 1930's feel. We had an appetizer of freshly-grilled escargot, which may sound disgusting, but they were delicious. While we had caesar salads, a staple of Texas restaurants, they were still delicious. When ordering our steaks I had initially asked for well-done, however the waiter persuaded me to try it cooked to medium and he was right in doing so. Overall, this is a wonderful restaurant, and the waiters try to give you a personal touch.
Pros: Excellent steaks for a reasonable price
