Avoid on St. Patty's Day 11/13/2006

Your classic neighborhood Irish bar. Down the street from UConn Law so expect some talk of politics. Irish beer available (of course). Avoid on St. Patrick's day, there's a line out the door and unless people leave, you aren't getting in. Decent food. more

The Half Door 12/13/2004

The Half Door is a great Irish pub the likes of which are difficult to find in this area. There's a fine selection of beer and good food as well. I have never been to the Half Door and left disappointed. Pros: food, beer more

The BEST pint of Guinness 11/29/2002

An authentic Irish Pub. Great food and a truly proper pint of Guinness. Live bands on scheduled days. The menu is limited. Everything served is great. I love the Irish meatloaf. They even make a perfect Margarita. A must see to appreciate. more
