The food is better than amazing with huge portions, and the staff is just as wonderful! They welcome everyone and provide service with a smile. You cannot go wrong with any of the menu items. more

My husband and I encountered this place while vacationing in Miami Beach. We enjoyed the food here so much the first time, that we decided to eat breakfast here again the next day. The cafe is located in the old Penguin hotel right across from the beach. If you sit outside on the sidewalk, you have a great view to look at. The food is absolutely delicious! The first time I ate there, I had the goat cheese, sundried tomato and basil omelet, which was amazing. The 2nd day I had the pear and prosciutto omelet which was excellent as well. My husband also enjoyed one of their omelets as well as their pancakes. The next time we visit South Beach, I am definitely going to hit up this place again! more

Great brunch spot. Huge portions, nice selection. Expect to wait at peek times, but worth it. Plus you can bring your dog and smoke at your table. more

This place is really good...and this is coming from a person who takes breakfast serious. The pancakes were the best of all we ordered. Very laid back atmosphere and the wait wasn't too bad. more

Had to weather the gauntlet of every restaurant on Ocean Drive trying to show me their menu and sell me on their $4 breakfast deal on the way to Front Porch Cafe, but it was totally worth it. They don't have a breakfast deal, because they don't need one. The food was excellent. I had the granola pancakes with bananas and my girlfriend had the green eggs. Both were delicious. A great way to start a beautiful day in Miami. more

This breakfast place was amazing! I'm a world traveler and have been to many places to eat breakfast, and this place was in my top five favorite breakfast places! The service was great, and the menu is filled with many different choices. It's perfect for the whole family because there are a variety of healthy choices as well as choices for the children ( or people that don't need to watch their weight and can eat whatever they want). Haha more

I love the breakfast potatoes. Can't remember any better. (my appoligies to Dickie V and the Broken Egg on Siesta Key-these were better) The breakfast burrito was rather ordinary but tasted so much better because of those potatoes. As well as good, strong coffee. more

Thought it would be really awesome, but sadly I was let down. Ordered the smoothie (front porch flip) and it was both warm and very very thick/chunky. You can't order the pancakes as a side, and the waiters are so busy that you feel neglected. There are better places on south beach for the same price. more

Great Place for Brunch 6/17/2009

My boyfriend and I traveled to the Cafe for brunch after reading all of the reviews. The trip was well worth it, there was no one on the corner bugging you to eat there, mostly locals (what a relief). The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. Daniel is the best. Pros: Great food, Great Service, and Daniel the bartender more

The food is amazing and the location is great. 3/15/2008

There are a ton of restuarants up and down Ocean that try to get you to eat there, I am so glad we held out for the Front Porch. The food is so good and the service is great! We went there twice and wait maybe 10 minutes at the most. Not to mention it is not that expensive. I was trying to stay on my diet while on vacation and I found a ton of healthy food options at Front Porch that made it really easy. Pros: Great food, fast service and nice location. more

Good food. Slow Service. 2/11/2008

this place has good food, big portions and at low prices. The service is a little slow - probably because they include the gratuity even on a party of two. Pros: good food Cons: slow service more

Aside from the wait, great breakfast & lunch joint! 1/3/2007

I came here for brunch w/ a friend and though we waited about 15-20min for a table, I think it was well worth the wait. I had an omelet, she had a grilled chicken breast sandwich w/ pesto -- we both loved our food but were disappointed with the mediocre fruit bowl that accompanied our meal. Our food was reasonable considering we were right on beautiful Ocean Dr. Pros: food, outdoor seating Cons: the wait... more

Great breakfast spot 12/10/2006

Biscuit meal is fabulous! The bacon and potatoes are scrumptious. Fresh squeezed orange jusice was very refreshing. Also a wonderful spot to watch people passing by on the beach front. Pros: Food and location Cons: Can get hot with morning sun if you can't get under an umbrella more

Best Brunch on the Beach 11/17/2006

I love this place! On Ocean Drive where the competition is severe, this place shines by delivering real food. You can feel the effort put into each plate. I?m not talking fancy gourmet...I'm talking simple yet delish dishes. The breakfast bonanza with sliced tomatoes on the side is the only hangover helper I could ever recommend. The staff is friendly...the menu is huge and wholesome. The dinners are good too...try the chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and the Mango chutney on top. The secret got out a year back though so expect a wait on weekends for breakfast... more

Great portions 11/14/2006

I would go here for the food, which was delicious and large portions. Typical SoBe pricing, but you do get what you pay for here. The location is far enough off the beaten path of Ocean Drive, that getting a table isn't too difficult. Staff was nice, but do not go for a quick bite, just relax and enjoy the quieter side of Ocean Drive. Pros: great food, relaxing, service Cons: parking more
