Friendly Toast is open 24 hours on weekends! 7/24/2006

The Friendly Toast is such an interesting place. They have a crazy collection of campy 50s art that they regularly rotate in and out of the restaurant. Hanging all over the walls and ceiling, with interesting and unique lamps on every table. The menu is varied and full of excellent food, with lots of vegetarian items. The staff and the crowd consist of the highest concentration of emo fags, hipsters, sXe, scene, and other various freaks I've ever seen north of Manhattan. Their grilled cheese is amazing, as is anything with their homemade toast. It's literally... 3/4" thick per slice? Maybe an inch. A grilled cheese with cayenne cheddar toast is amazing. The best part of this restaurant is that they don't close Friday or Saturday night, so you can stop by anytime in the middle of the night on weekends. more
