Best Service Ever!!! 12/17/2011

I went into the Fabric house in mid Nov. with a project I was hoping to complete in two weeks. Martha asked me if she could help me with samples. She began by asking me question about the project I was working on and then she made several suggestions of fabrics that I would never have thought to look at . I fell in love with what we put together. Before we finished I asked if she new anyone that could upholster several dining room chairs and a few other small pieces that I needed to be completed in two weeks. She said the store had a list of upholsters and that she was on the list . I was so thrilled to find out she could do upholstery work. I went home and double checked my measurement and came back that day and bought everything I needed. She did the work and got it all back to me in time for my Christmas party that was the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was all fabulous, and my guest raved about what we had put together. I have been searching for a particular fabric for months, having just moved into my place I wanted to get crafty and knew exactly the fabric I was after to make my canvas. I was after a french provincial theme.. and hear in Australia.. everything is either poor quality or just sooooo expensive! more

Best Customer Service - Huge Selection - Amazing Staff 2/19/2011

I was looking to reupholster some chairs I had purchased (which I had never done before) and went to a couple places looking for fabric and some help.The first place I went was fine but I just didn't feel comfortable enough to ask any questions, just walked around and left. I went online and found Fabric House on Sidco Drive and stopped by one afternoon. Since I didn't really know what I was looking for or how much I needed , I finally broke down and allowed one of the many Design Specialist who offered to help me. more

Best Selection-Great Service 8/28/2010

My friend and I were in the Fabric House Saturday, August 28th and they have in some new beautiful fabrics since we were there before. We got several swatches and were in there a while. Everyone was so friendly, nice and helpful. We were having trouble making a trim selection (we only needed a yard) and they found the perfect trim for my friend's pillow. We have been there many, many times before and will continue to shop there. more

Fabric House rocks! 8/24/2010

Every time I go to the Fabric House I am VERY FAVORABLY impressed with the gorgeous fabrics and the reasonable prices! The displays are well organized by colors, so it's so easy to find just the right fabric. The trims are lovely too. And now the store is carrying wonderful accessories. I love all the decorative pieces. Their buyer has great taste and really picks up on all the latest trends. I have been to Fabric House many times, and I have never had anything but impeccable and highly professional service. I can't think why anyone would shop for fabrics and trims at any store other than the Fabric House! more

Patient, Knowledgeable, Skilled & Friendly 8/23/2010

I stopped in the Fabric House today to pick up some fabric to recover my outdoor pillows. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg just to buy new pillows and thought I'd take a chance and sew them myself too. Darlett Sowers, one of the associates, was the first one to help me. Little did I know at the time but she was the perfect one to help me - she learned to sow at a very early age and assisted me from start to finish on exactly how I needed to complete this project myself. She was extremely helpful, patient and obviously knowledgeable about her trade. Thank you, Darlett at the Fabric House! Your prices are so reasonable too and helps me not only have beautiful pillows but I get the satisfaction of having done it myself - with your help of course! more

The Fabric House located on Sidco Drive is without a doubt the most professional and complete business of it's kind in the Nashville area. They carry the best materials and a selection of everything any one could possibly need to decorate a home or business. Hard Working Knowledgable Staff 8/15/2010

This is a place where ideas meet reality. I am no decorator but I do have dreams and need help desperately to make my "vision" happen. In this day and time when all things must be cost effective I have been exceedingly pleased with how well I have been able to put a few things artfully together without a painful ouch at the cash register. Amazing store, beautiful fabrics! 8/14/2010

Fabric House is one of a kind. It has an unbelievable amount of fabrics in all textures and colors. The staff was very helpful. It takes time to figure how much fabric is needed for a house full of windows. The sales person I worked with was patient and very interested in making sure I was getting what I wanted and that I'd be happy with my purchase. The location is perfect, easy to access right off I65. This will now be my fabric store of choice. more

Great Fabric Selection! Really beautiful store! 8/14/2010

I have shopped off and on at the Fabric House for years and it just keeps getting better! The fabrics that they carry are beautiful and also well-priced. The staff was really helpful in picking out fabrics for drapes that were an odd size for my bedroom and living room. Once I decided on fabrics, they custom ordered them for me. The drapes came quickly and look great! more

Astoundingly Rude Staff 7/15/2010

I would be ashamed if I were the manager of this store. The customer service is beyond rude. I went in about 2 years ago and was treated rudely. I decided to give it another try today, but I'll never return. I was there for half an hour and finally had to go stand in front of three staff members who were talking among themselves. After (no kidding) a minute of being unacknowledged, I asked if anyone could help me. I stood there again in silence while they waited. Finally, I was "helped" by a rude woman who seemed to resent my presence and my very basic questions (ie., "May I have a swatch?" and "Do you know if you're ordering more of this fabric?") Honestly, I've never written one of these reviews before, but I hope that some manager out there will read it and insist his/her employees learn how to greet and be kind to customers. I found some fabric I like, but there's no way in *hell* that store will be getting my money. (And I notice I'm not the only one here to note they have a rude staff.) Pros: decent selection Cons: you feel completely invisible and staff resents questions more

Rude Staff 6/9/2010

Upon entering the Fabric House I was not greeted, even though there was only one other customer in the store and at least 4 staff members.....but fine whatever I was there to pick out fabrics and I didn't really need someone to greet me. I had been in the store for about an hour and still no one even asked if I needed anything or of they could help. I needed samples cut so I went to the front counter and had to stand a wait for the staff members to finish their gossiping before anyone asked if I needed anything. I ordered fabric Thursday and received it Friday with VERY reasonable shipping costs. The Fabric House is simply the best. I will drive to Nashville or pick up the phone and do more business with Fabric House without hesitation! Pros: fast shipping, helpful staff Cons: 2 hours from my home more

great selection wonderful customer service 3/24/2009

I recently visited The Fabric House for the first time and I was amazed! I am from Alabama and I have been to ALOT of fabric stores and there is NO comparison as far as selection OR customer service. They are so helpful nothing like I've ever experienced before. I loved the way they cut the samples and THEY write the color, brand and price on the back for you! Great place to go, even if you have to drive from Alabama! Pros: best selection and great service more

Great service, knowledgable staff! 3/18/2009

I'm in the music industry and was looking for some fabric to cover acoustic panels. I don't know anything about fabric except for what I was told was the best type of fabric for what I needed. When I walked into the store, I was greeted with a smile by a guy with spiky hair. He asked me what I was looking for, I told him about the project I was working on. He knew exactly what I needed and gave me a selection to choose from. The prices were within my range and I purchased the fabric I needed. I highly recommend this store for anyone who has interior fabric or acoustic paneling needs! Pros: Great fabric selection, friendly service, affordable prices Cons: none! more

Best selection of fabrics, helpful and service oriented 11/14/2008

I am amazed at this store! I can't believe I have not known about it before now. The prices were amazing! The store is beautiful and organized by color which makes it easy to select and choose. My saleswoman spent a lot of time helping me determine my selection and measurements. I will most certainly return for future purchases. And, the best part, it is so easy to access. Right off I65! more
