The Commons at Olentangy

I never believe the reviews that have ever been posted but trust me I don't gain anything from posting this. My boyfriend and I went to OC to look at their townhouse and we were lied to our faces. They told us that the new renovated townhomes they had were for the 799 special. They let us see one which they didn't take us they just gave us the key and it was nice but when we went back to put down a down payment they told us that the renovated ones where not for this price they told us those ones went for 1,185 a month. Trust me they where nice but not for the price. When we went to look at the other ones they were trashed broken stoves the vents where dirty it was a trashed up please. When we went back to tell them about this the blonde chic in the office told us that for the amount of space you get the price should be fine. Not how trashed it is. more

After living in the Ohio State off-campus area for 4 years all at different location I decided to move to a quieter and nicer location. Well I can honestly say I made the worst living choice by moving to the Olentangy Commons out of all of the 5 places in the last 5 years. \r \r Pros:\r Large Bedrooms\r Parking - only had to park on street 5 times this year\r Pool Parties - just have a friend and you can still go\r Free W/D - probably because they screwed us over on our unit \r \r Cons:\r BREAK-INS:\r Many have heard about the serial rapist that terrorized Columbus. The OC was the location of one of his assaults. He was able to easily break into the apartment by ripping out the mail slot located on the front door and then unlocking the door. I've known five or six people who lived in this area. Its a huge apartment complex with mostly college students or other young people. Its in a decent part of town compared to other apartments in its price range. The apartments definitely are nothing to write home about, but they are pretty good. I would live here if I needed to. more
