Wonderful eatery! 9/27/2010

Fourteen of us ate at this wonderful little restaurant last night. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was good (even with our large group). I also liked the fact the the owner came out and spoke with us and there were obviously many repeat customers. And, they were very accommodating as we celebrated a birthday. With such a large group, we were able to try many different foods, including the yellow curry chicken, crispy duck, chicken noodle soup, BBQ pork, and shrimp. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. No-one left disappointed! more

Nice Owner, great desert 1/25/2009

I took a date there because it looked pretty cozy with the white table cloth and just a small place. The crab was pretty good that was recommended to me. The desert recommended was the sugar free homemade coconut ice cream. The owner(very nice) came by while we were eating desert and explained that his family in Thailand were ice cream makers by trade and not so much Thai food specialist. Great desert and the Houston Chronicle wrote and article on this resturaunt. My date and I were very impressed with this little place beside a liquor store in a shopping strip. Pros: unique deserts, good atomoshere, great owner Cons: so small the kitchen is too close more

Food's Okay, If You've Got All Day... 12/4/2008

Went to Thai Siam for an early dinner on a Saturday...about 6pm. Stopped in because we love Thai food, Cons: Service SLOW, prices a bit high more

Best Thai food I have EVER tasted!! 9/16/2008

Thai Siam is the yummiest place to eat in town! I have experienced other Thai restaurants but none of them compare to Thai Siam. The appetizers, particularly the crab meat cheese rolls are to die for! The house salad with peanut dressing is great and always fresh! The curries are very tasty and the noodle based dishes, (particularly the pad kee mao) are amazing! The service is wonderful, everyone is so nice and willing to help. The owner, John is great! He is the epidemy of customer service and aims to please everyone. I have never had a bad experience here and I know I never will. And for dessert, the coconut ice cream is SO yummy, and made fresh in the kitchen! The staff of Thai Siam are always so warm and friendly, it is always so nice to dine in! Thai Siam is highly recommended!! Pros: great service, amazing food, nice atmosphere, great price Cons: nothing!! more

Great Thai place!!! 2/22/2008

I enjoy Thai, but have found it better, if you find someone who can cook it for real. I was impress to find this spot. Nice place to sit, eat, drink and have good conversation. The Owner took the time out to speak to me, which I was a nice surprise, the servers where very helpful in helping me decide what to try. If you love Thai food, you should definitely try the place out and see why. Pros: Ambience, and fresh food Cons: Parking more

BEST Thai food anywhere! 11/25/2007

From New York to Chicago to Los Angeles to San Francisco (and all the places between), you will not find better Thai food than at Thai Siam. As an Asian American foodie who has sampled Thai food around the world (including throughout Thailand!) and is constantly disappointed by all the watered-down, ""Americanized"" versions of ethnic flavors, I was floored to discover a place so close to home that serves such amazing food. Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable owner; terrific, authentic food Cons: Too many people are falling in love with it! more

THE BEST THAI FOOD 7/26/2005

I've been to thaiLand and this is the most authentic thai food Houston has to offer. I love going to this restaurant because not only is the food amazing the service is incomparable as well. Their lunch menu is not only affordable, it's beyond delicious! Every single person I've brought to them have agreed with me hands down, that it's heaven. I've gotten all my friends addicted to their thai tea and cheese rolls. If you want unforgettable dinner dates, this is the place to *_* a great find! Hope to see you there. Pros: mom & pop feel, inexpensive, best thai tea more
