Stylists that know what they're doing 10/19/2011

I've been to Meghan and Erin and they're both fantastic! I usually get a cut and partial highlights. I've never been disappointed. I moved to Colorado from Chicago seven years ago and had trouble finding a good stylist. Everyone I went to seemed like a Supercuts flunky even at some of the upscale places I tried in Boulder and Fort Collins. I was so thrilled when I finally found the girls at TEN. Meghan and Erin know what they're doing and occasionally even teach classes to the new stylists coming through. You'll pay a little more but it's totally worth it! They are both super professional and skilled at what they do. I will never go anywhere else! more

Follow up call - bad receptionist 10/18/2011

The stylist and her assistant were very kind and professional. I was happy with their work. However there was a point when they poured toner on my head after washing that caused my scalp to instantly start itching. They rinsed it off and it settled down. A few hours later it was itching again. I called the salon to find out what was in the toner that could cause my scalp to itch. I was extremely disappointed in the receptionist, Holly, who informed me that there were millions of ingredients and that if it still itched after washing my hair again to go see my doctor. She couldn't provide me with any more assistance. Really inconsiderate and unhelpful. Super disappointed as I'm sure the first thing any doctor would want to know is WHAT did you put on your head? And... who wants to run to a doctor because of an Aveda product? I thought they were atleast mostly safe. There should be a Material Safety Data Sheet for harmful products. Or a kind ear to assure you that what was poured on your head isn't harmful and I will fax or email you the ingredients so you can verify. more

I always enjoy my experience at ten..coming from a small town I really enjoy all the perks of coming to ten..from the wine..to the foot soaks..and also the paraffin hand dips. My stylist, Shell is amazing and is more than just a stylist to me now..she has become a friend. I wouldn't want to go to anyone else!! more

I always enjoy my appointments with Vanessa at Aveda. She is more than my hair stylist, she has become a friend and confidant. I always think your stylist's hair and personal style is an indicator in some ways of what kind of cut/color you'll receive. Vanessa's style is something I love. I like that I always have magazines waiting for me, a bottomless cup of coffee and a couple of hours of relaxation. The girls at the front desk are always friendly and helpful when I'm checking out and booking my next appointment. Only downside would be if the prices keep going up. more

I loved going to Aveda 10, always good service and good environment but they have just priced themselves out of my market. There are other good stylists and salons and I sure like saving the $20 per cut. more

Ten Aveda is very service-oriented. I am always greeted with a smile the minute I walk in the door, with an offer of something to drink. The stylists are very punctual with their appointments. I received a haircut & color, which looks marvelous. With hair services, you can expect to be offered a foot soak while your color processes, a parafin wax for your hands, and a relaxing scalp massage during your shampoo. My stylist, Shell, is amazing; she always makes me feel special. At the end of the appointment, she touches up my lips, and sends me on my way feeling glamorous. more

Have seen two stylists (Donna and Jillian) and have been very happy with the service and products. Salon is clean and calm- hair looks and feels great! Wish I had tried Ten sooner- will be coming back! more
