Best

Tart is one of my favorite spots for brunch in LA. LOVE sitting out on the patio, food is awesome and bottomless mamosas!

Worst

Best hotel it was a little treasure!! 6/8/2008

I would definitly highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay at a hotel that was convinient to many things to do, and wanted a nice place to stay.\r This hotel was very, very clean, and had great service. The beds were new, and very clean. The sheets were very soft, and enjoyable. The service at this hotel was really excellent. The staff was very nice and imformative.\r This hotel was very convienient to the farmer's market, the Grove,CBS studios, and American Girl. All you had to do was cross one street and you were at the Farmer's market and American Girl. \r Walking distance from the Farmer's daughter to American Girl was excellent, about 3 minutes. The location of this hotel was clean, and in the good part of LA.\r Diane from Colorado. Pros: Location more

Best Place for the Buck and Great Staff! 3/16/2008

My family came to town and had never been to the West Coast before and thanks to the friendly staff, they will definitely be back to LA! We stayed for 4 nights and the staff in TART and at the front desk was so accommodating and kind that I know we will be back. They went out of their way to make sure my dad and brother were taken care of during the day while I went to work, making sure they knew where to go and places to visit. The staff in TART was curteous, the food was great and even the valets were nice! A definite must-stay to ensure a good time in LA. Pros: Location, Staff and Price Cons: TART closes too early! more

One of a kind! 12/4/2006

Once you've stayed in hotel chains you will appreciate a hotel with a personality :) Every time I visit LA the hotel is improving in its own way. It's nice to root for a privately run hotel in this world of chain hotels. I feel like I'm some place special staying here, without the crowded scene. A centrally located boutique hotel with a great restaurant and the best shopping experience in LA right across the street. I miss the cute boy who used to work the front desk though :) And dry cleaning, thai massage, 24 hour pharmacy on the same block. If you're going to be out and about in LA returning to the oasis vibe of the hotel is a great, calming way to end the evening. more

Beware the hype! 4/14/2006

This place is terrible! Do not stay here. The decor may be cute but it is cheap and all surface. The beds are unsleepable. In fact, our 4 person ""suite"" did not have enough sleeping accomodations for 4 people and we were sleeping on cushions on the bare wood floor. The service is TERRIBLE- argumentative, rude front office staff not interested in helping whatsoever. Don't stay here! Cons: Customer service, Sleeping accomodation, Lighting more

I LOVE IT 11/26/2003

I am so in love with Farmer's Daughter Hotel's new look. They're lobby looks fabulous and not to mention their front desk's outfits are adorable. I felt right at home in their farm style rooms. The Price is definitely right at this hotel. I highly recommend you to stay here! Pros: free internet use, free breakfast, great service Cons: none i can think of more

Terrific Value! 9/18/2003

The rooms at the Farmer's Daughter are an exceptional value. What's more, the staff is extremely helpful. With many places to eat just a short walk away, the Farmer's Daughter is the perfect place to stay for business, leisure, or in my case, apartment renovations. Great overall value! Pros: location, on-site parking more

What a find... 9/17/2003

We were at the Farmer's Market and The Grove for shopping. We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to stay the night and continue shopping the next day. We were referred to the Farmer's Daughter. Upon arrival we were a little taken back by the construction site (which are almost done). Once we checked in and got ot our room we were very pleased with the recommendation. The room was newly refurbished and very cute. The rooms have a hip / funky look to them with great artwork and plenty of amenities. The staff was friendly and very helpfull. I have found the hotel that I will keep coming back to everytime I come to Los Angeles. Pros: free parking, inexpensive, amenities Cons: construction more

I'll be back! 9/11/2003

I took my 80 year old grand mother to see the Price Is Right and Farmer's Daughter was right across the street. Having a fridge in the room was great! I also noticed the free DSL and will bring my lap top next time. I have several friends who travel and I will recomend this hotel to them. The shower was very nice, like a natural rain fall. The price fit well into my budget. The staff made us feel right at home. The continental breakfast was a plus also. Thanks again everyone! more

Farmer's Daughter Rules! 9/11/2003

I had stayed at the Farmer's Daughter a couple of years back and was totally amazed at the changes to the property. They have taken a huge step and made a mediocre motel into a stylish and trendy getaway spot. The location is perfect, the staff is very kind and professional, and the new design is to die for. I recommend this spot to anyone, ESPECIALLY if you are headed out to see Bob Barker at the Price is Right. They even have Price is Right clinics to inform guests about show procedures. Kudos to the Farmer's Daughter, and I'll see you guys again soon! Pros: Inexpensive, Internet access, Location more

Fabulous! 12/4/2002

My relatives recently flew into LA for a family reunion and everyone loved the Farmer's Daughter! While it isn't a fancy hotel, the service, location, price, and cleanliness was top notch. The staff went out of their way to ensure everyone had a good time, and the close proximity to Farmer's Market and The Grove (where we held the reunion) was ideal. It's also very easy access to Hollywood, Universal Studios, Melrose Avenue, & museums. The owners are beginning to renovate the rooms and I got a sneak peek -- really nice. Highly recommended!! more

No frills, but it's a MOTEL 11/30/2002

One must keep in mind that this is a MOTEL, not a fancy hotel or B&B. That being the case, Farmer's Daughter was fine. No frills, but the staff was extremely helpful and even found me an extra night (Friday) at the last minute. They were able to get me a room that fit my requests, and were very friendly throughout. The location is excellent! I don't think there's a better bargain motel in LA for the price. Pros: price, location, service Cons: bland more

Love this place 8/1/2002

WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!! 7/20/2002

We just had a BLAST in LA, thanks in part to the friendly, knowledgeable and CUTE guys at the Farmer's Daughter! Very kind, courteous, helpful, and witty, these guys made our stay feel like home away from home. It's not fancy, but its very clean, and located near the strip, near the beach, near great shopping, near all kindsa clubs. We loved it, and we love you guys!! Thanks for being so sweet and making our stay a most pleasant one! Pros: close to everything, VERY INEXPENSIVE, Great staff & service Cons: plumbing sorta noisy more

Cheap-n-Clean 5/30/2002

It's not fancy, but I loved that it was inexpensive. The rooms were fairly large (for the price) and I loved the frig in the room. My friends and I always take advantage of that! more
