I love this place! They have the best facials in town. I've been seeing Stephanie for over two years now, and I am always satisfied with her work. It is very clean, service is superb, they have complimentry bevrages and snacks and even though it's on the pricey side, I feel it's worth it. They also sell aveda products, and I am a big fan of their lipgloss line. more

The whole experience was fantastic. The staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. When I walked in, I was truly expecting a pretentious "too cool" attitude from the salon...I was wrong. Great people. Kelsey is great. She took the time to listen and did a fantastic job. more

Tangerine Aveda has been my salon for nearly 10 years and by far my all time favorite. I walk into a beautiful, warm and friendly environment at every visit. From the front desk to Emily(the best stylist I have ever had)to contact with the owners,(Sally & Holly), my experience is perfection. We had my daughter's make-up and hair wedding party done at Tangerine without a flaw. Everyone was amazing and the food provided was perfect. Tangerine Aveda knows how to do it right. Tabitha would have nothing but compliments for my salon. I have recommended Tangerine Aveda to many people and I look forward to many more years of awesome appointments. I have a standing appointment for color and eyebrow/eyelash dye. My hairdresser is the best and knows exactly what is needed (maybe lowlights this time or next, haircut that suits my face, etc.) I have a great time getting my eyelashes and eyebrows dyed; it's relaxing and entertaining at the same time. Tangerine Avada is beyond doubt a superior salon in Reno. more

What more can I say.... I had my 90 min facial with Terra. I actually relaxed and I never do that. more

Tangerine is great! I see Kristy and she always does a beautiful job on my hair color and cut. Terra has shaped my brows a few times and they always look fantastic, and I have crazy thick brows. The salon is relaxing and earthy. Only one star shy of 5 due to a sometimes surly receptionist. Everyone else is stellar! more

A wonderful treat for those days when you need an escape. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They greet you upfront and offer you a beverage right off the bat. I've experienced their facials and hair treatments, both are wonderful (I'm a little biased because I love Aveda products). The staff is also helpful at suggesting ways to address problem areas such as when I first moved to Reno and my skin kept drying out - they made several recommendations and not just on their products but what I should look for in my moisturizer, etc if I chose to buy something else. I thought this was wonderful especially since I'd never had dry skin before coming from the humid Southeast. Since I know Aveda is a more expensive product and would expect their salon/spa to be the same way I wasn't surprised at the price - however if you are unsure if this is in our range, check out their website as it lists the services/treatments and their prices. I definitely think you should pamper yourself at least once here if only to have their knowledgeable staff review your skin and offer their recommendations. more

The first time I went to this spa, I will admit I really liked the hair stylist Renee. However, the price was a bit high $75.00 for a haircut and 5.00 Tip.....here's the kicker...i called back to make an appointment and the person on the phone who stated that she was the manager demanded a credit card...over the phone...in order to book my appointment. Since when did hair style salons become Dr.'s offices...or wait Dr.'s offices don't even have the Balls to ask for that over the phone. Even after telling her how unprofessional that was and that they just lost a customer...she didn't care....so obviously you are just a number and a dollar $ to them....Truthfully, I hope a company like this goes out of business.....but I wish the best for Renee...because she was a great stylist..... I do recommend the Paul Mitchell Salon that just opened up....they are reasonably priced $40.00 and do a very good job.... more

The first stylist I had for a full highlight to touch up my roots barely put any color in my hair leaving a big dark spot above my forehead and got one side somewhat touched up but left the other side very dark. I went back for a correction and another stylist painted bleach all over my head turning my hair albino white. They had the nerve to say I asked for that!!!! I spent 4 hours there trying to get them to correct my hair. It is a total nightmare, I have been to top stylists in several major US cities and these stylists would not listen to me or use current techniques to apply color in a professional and "up to currrent methods" manner. My hair is now totally ruined and they refused to give me a refund (because they put so much work into it!!!). Any well-trained and experienced stylist would have fixed my highlights in less than an hour with few extra foils. The owner blamed me for everything they did. Rude, inexperienced people. Abusive to me while I was in the chair and over the phone. My head is burning. DO NOT go here! Pros: Free tea and snacks Cons: Ruined hair more

Please do not enter this VERY NEW, INEXPERIENCED salon. Alena from Boston destroyed my hair. Apparently she can "read hair" but I don't think she had her glasses on when she was reading mine. What should have been a trim turned into almost 1 hour of cutting (shaving better said), then under the drying to see her final "work". I knew when she was done my hair was ruined. Fair warning Only saving grace was the cut was $40. Staff somewhat rude as well. Pros: Was close to my job Cons: Hair destroyed -- it was only supposed to be a trim! more
