Normally I give TEC high marks. I'm uncomfortable this time because I'm not as happy with the last work.. My bathroom has a hole around the new fan cover. Although , it Wes mentioned that you don't fix walls etc after an installation, I dint realize a smaller cover would be installed. But I was alarmed that after the roof men had fixed the fan, two workers showed up two days later to check if it was attached. This was fine but they smelled of alcohol. Not as professional as most customers would accept. I am only writing this to make sure you realize this. I am not anxious to get anyone in trouble. The fis on my microwave and chandler mere just fine, I look forward to continuing having TEC as my electricians.. Normally I would score your work with five good stars.. more

Tom came out when we were considering making an offer on our home and went over everything he saw that should be addressed if we were to decide to purchase. He was so helpful and explained everything very well, so of course we hired him when we started the renovation. He and his crews were so easy to work with, very responsive, trustworthy, and made us completely comfortable with the whole process, which they completed on schedule. I would never consider switching to another electrical company, no reason to, TEC is the best! more

They delivered everything we agreed to on time and professionally. 8/23/2014

To install can-lighting, TEC had to pull wires through floor joints to 3 separate rooms. Not an easy job and very labor intensive. They always cleaned up every night and reported everyday on time. We appreciated how everything was handled and will definately use them (and recommend them to others) when we have future electrical needs. more

Thoughtful, persistent, and successful. A great group. 8/15/2014

I have had 2-3 electrical "problems" that took a bit of creative problem-solving -- one in particular caused by an earlier electrician. But they stuck with it, reasoned well, and solved all of them with great success. They are great guys; I feel as though honest friends are coming to my home to help! more

T E C electric was selected and responded quickly. through in extra care for good neighbor on first job. second job was as satisfactory as first. The owner and crew were neat, efficient, and friendly. I would recommend T E C as first choice regardless of cost. more

My TEC experience 8/5/2014

TEC is completely reliable. The work they do is first class! Unlike some people that come into the house, they do the work and clean up so that you would never even know they had been there, except for the great, new electrical work that is now in your house. more

Great service and value 5/26/2012

Our real estate agent suggested TEC Electric, and we had them do some electrical work in in our Alameda home twice. The first job was very small, we asked them to come out and provide an estimate to install a 220 volt receptacle for our dryer. Instead of providing an estimate, they were able to perform the work in about 20 minutes for a very reasonable price, much less than I expected. Because of our first experience, we had them come back about a year later for a larger job that required city permits. TEC replaced the main subpanel for the house along with all the circuit breakers. They wired new circuits to two bedrooms and installed new wiring for a ceiling fan. TEC took care of all the permits and arranged for drywall repairs. There were no permit issues and the post-work inspection went smoothly. TEC was very easy to work with, flexible and accommodating, and respectful of our home. We will definitely hire TEC for electrical work in the future. more

TEC Electrical & Fabrication was a sub-contractor to our contractor and they came in to do some additional work. They were very great, conscientious, and on time. The quality of their work was great as well. more

Made things happen! 12/19/2011

Tom at TEC Electrical & Fabrication was very easy to work with. He was extremely helpful and made the project a lot easier. Tom and TEC Electrical & Fabrication upgraded the electrical services here and got a washer and dryer hooked up. It was kind of a difficult project and he did electrical as well as plumbing work. He kind of made things happen with the city by getting the permits, and walked me through all the steps to make it a lot easier. He went through a lot of trouble to drill the floor to get the separate box set up for the dryer and washer. It took a lot more time than expected but he kept the estimate the same and didn't charge extra! more

Tom Jr. and Tom Sr. of TEC were great to work with. They do the job right at a good rate. The completed the wiring of our basement build out, which we are doing to prepare the house for sale. We'll use them again when we have a new place. more

Everyone I dealt with at TEC Electrical & Fabrication was very nice. I hired them when I was rebuilding my garage. They did good work taking care of the furnace, and also installed some electrical outlets and switches. I was pleased with the workmanship, and happy with the end results. However, I would have like a little more guidance in terms of designing a system that would fit my electrical needs. I guess I wanted more options or scenarios, rather than simply being asked how many switches and outlets to install. Still, they did good work and the final product is certainly satisfactory. more

TEC was professional, polite, curteous, prompt,knowledgeable, informative. Tom and crew delivered the service they promised from start to finish. We had our entire house rewired and brought up to code. TEC handled all business with the city (permits, inspections, questions) all we had to do was sit back. Their time line was impressive. They started the same day we signed the contract and showed up every day. They kept us informed as to how things were progressing on a regular basis.If they hit an issue we received a call to be asked how to procede or to offer what they thought was the best way to proceed. I have nothing negative to say about TEC. We thank everyone at TEC for making what could have been a stressfull and intimidating venture for us into a decision we are happy we made. more
