Sweet Life Patisserie

Okay so we love sweet life cheesecake and we love to have pony express deliver it! But, get this they won't get out a new cheesecake until they've sold every piece of the one in the case. Sounds like it could be of reason right?! Well when theres only 2 pieces of a flavor left that someone doesn't like and they want to but 5 pieces from you, you might want to make an exception people! Hello logic! more

Very dissapointed in the birthday cake I got from them. I was so excited to be able to afford a whole cake from SweetLife for my son's big 5! I told the baker I spoke to about the theme for my kids 5th birthday and that I wanted big bold stars on the cake and Happy birthday with his name written on it. When we got the cake back to the party I was so pissed to see that they put out no effort at all! No big bright stars or fun shapes- nothing! They wrote happy birthday across the bottom in white!! No in the center of the cake where it should have been. For the exceptional cost of the cake they could have at least put some coloring into the frosting they wrote on it with! White writing on white frosting??! Who does that to a five year old?? more

Sweetlife taste great and I love their treats, but I ordered a birthday cake for my son and they put no decoration on it and they wrote happy birthday in white icing on white frosting!! Who does that to a five year olds cake? I asked for stars and a space theme for his big day and they showed me just how little they cared about our event when they couldn't even put out the effort to add a drop of dye to the icing when they wrote on it! more

If you're looking for quality yummy delights, this is bakery for you. Probably the highest quality baked goods in town and well worth the higher prices. more

The natural ingredients used at sweet life sets it apart from other bakeries. The goods are always delicious with a quality taste. Once you have real pasteries from this place, it'll be hard to settle for less. A bit hard to find since the windows don't face the street but well worth the effort. more

We hired the Sweet Life to make and decorate our wedding cake and were VERY happy with the results. We first tried a piece of their cake at a wedding expo and loved it. Our cake was delicious (our guests are still raving about it) and it looked exactly like the picture. We still go here every now and then to get a slice! more

It's easy to start salivating just thinking about Sweet Life. They offer a variety of pastries and treats on a daily basis, using all natural ingredients. You can totally taste the difference. As a result, prices are higher than the generic bakeries but so worth it in every bite. They have treats for every kind of eating, including vegan. They make amazing wedding cakes. Our three tier funky cake was the talk of our wedding 5 years ago, and to this day we still get comments about it. Sadly, the first tier didn't even make it to our first anniversary. We couldn't stand knowing that such an amazing product was sitting the freezer and nibbled on it for months after the wedding. more

Sweet Life's logo perfectly represents this wonderful bakery: whimsical, unique and totally special. Their own website includes the words elegant and wacky...so there you have it! Their location at 755 Monroe is a little hidden away, and the inside seating is limited. But it's worth the effort to find, and your money is well spent. They offer eclairs, strudel, tiramisu, tortes, and so many tasty treats it would fill a page to list them all. Everything from brownies and tarts to a simply "oh so bad" offering called Nipples of Venus. I've never been disappointed. The Framboise cake is filled with a heavy, rich custard and topped with raspberries - absolutely to die for! The Strawberries and Cream cake is lighter with whipped cream and glazed berries. Citron Mousse cake is for citrus lovers -- lemon mousse and lemon curd are lucious! And if you love chocolate, they've got more than 5 fantastic cakes that feature chocolate! Sweet Life makes really good tasting vegan treats in addition to their regular baked goods. The vegan items include no animal products used in the making. They also carry some wheat/gluten free items. This is your kind of place if you love really great frosting (they don't use shortening in it -- so take my word, it's REALLY good!) Their presentation is out of this world. They often use fresh flowers, and we've had custom cakes prepared for company functions. They truly work with you to do beautiful work. It's not the place if you want a Sponge Bob Square Pants cake -- they don't do that style. So if your kids want squishy cupcakes with Elmo on the top, this maybe isn't where to go. If you want a really quality baked goods, Sweet Life will surely agree with you! Prices are average to moderately expensive, but could range up to the high end for special work. more

I have never tasted cheesecake that tastes as good as Sweet Life's vegan cheesecake. Ditto for cookies, tarts, pies, eclairs and truffles. They also have coffee, but I've always zeroed in on the pastry, so I have no idea how that rates. A must-see in Eugene. more
