Sushiko Japanese Restaurant

I have eaten in all of the Japanese restaurants in Columbus and hands down this is the best for sushi. I was disappointed that they added the tepanyaki Japanese steakhouse, but they maintain an excellent sushi bar unlike most steakhouses where sushi is an aftersite. A well-traveled friend said it was not great, but agreed it was very good for this town. The sushi was always fresh with generous portions for the price. I wish they would get some decent cold saki, but other than that it is great for your sushi fix. Service at the tepanyaki steakhouse is poor and about as good as it gets in such an environment and this portion of the restaurant in new and clean. The owners are friendly and I once saw them step in to allow a customer who had stomach bypass to order off the child's menu when the waitress balked. We went here for lunch during the week around 11:30. We had 3 other people at our table. As more people came they put them at other tables. Food was great, and we were helped in a very timely maner. The chef gave our 3 yr old items seperatly as he cooked them, great idea to keep her eating not waiting. Pros: cost, environment, service Cons: limited lunch menu, not for picky kids more
