I stopped in on a radio advertisement for a great deal. When I went in to take advantage of this deal they told me that I could not. I complained to the manager and was told by him that the deal was not available even tho they advertised it. I went to the MO AG and the dealership strait out lied to them about the advertising They printed out a different advertisement and sent it in). In the advertisement it clearly stated that you could get 3k off the sale price and still get 5k over Kelly blue book. I do have a tape of the advertisement and am thinking of dropping a lawsuit on them, just trying to figure out how many other people got scammed from the false advertisement to see about a class action suit. more

The only thing negative I can say about this place is that they need more parking. The day I was there they were flooded with customers(maybe its their good reputation). Anyway, I got a fair deal and was given great service. more

It's funny the rating they have on here must be all family members or friends. This place is the worst of everything. 1) deceptive advertising 2) rude and hostile salesman 3)msrp forget about it look forward to another $2,000 to $3,000 on that sticker price. This extra money your paying goes towards a so called custom paint job which is basically pin strip and a Suntrup logo on your car. The salesman I dealt with would not listen to a thing I said and became more and more belligerent as the deal went on. It ending in me getting up to leave and being told to sit down and having him yell out the door ""I hope your car breaks down"". You might be thinking its just that guy, but you would be wrong the floor manager was standing right there. Oh you have a trade? and saw it was valued a fair price on their web link, nope expect that trade value to drop by almost 90%. Don't believe it? Go there or save yourself some time and head to another local dealer. more

If you want a great deal then go to Suntrup VW. They beat all their competitors by almost $1000. Plus they had better salesman and a lifetime warranty for FREE. No doubt, I will buy another car from Suntrup VW and Brett Hergenrother, the General Manager, and recommend them too all! more

Suntrup Volkswagen deserves 5 stars for their sales staff. They went above and beyond my expectations by delivering a car to my condo in Osage, Mo and made sure my lease turn in at another dealer was handled without any hassle. Also, the new CC is beautiful and priced right!!! more

Worse experience ever so far and it isn't over. Recently I purchased a 2010 Rogue by trading in my Toyota Corolla for their $5000 over Kelley Blue Book deal they have going on. First they said they weren't offering that deal with the Rogue which was LIE #1 because I called and spoke to someone earlier that day and confirmed before I drove 45 minutes there that I could get that on my Corolla. Then they said they couldn't use our financing which was LIE #2, they claimed they had to pay USAA $900 for a finder's fee, which we spoke to our bank and that is not true. Then my sales guy was supposed to call me the following Monday to schedule the interior and exterior protective coatings, something we didn't want to pay for in the first place, but since we had to pay for it, well it better be done. So he never called. Then I brought the car in the following week to have them check my engine light, which was because something came unplugged, so that was fixed. While the car was there they were going to do the protective coating application which would take several hours for the seat to dry so they gave me their service car to use for the night. When I went the next day to pick up the car, the interior had not been touched. I called when I got home because a towel that I had laying across my back seat (for my dog) had not even been moved and her body indention was still there so I know they didn't touch it. I called and talked to a service guy and asked what was done to my car, he said fixed the plug. I said is that it and he said yes, LIE # 3. So then I asked if the protective coats were applied and he yelled to the service advisor who responded yes. I nicely said that that was hard to believe because the towel had not been touched he then put me on hold. I waited 5 minutes before I heard a dialtone and was hung up on. Then when I called back after being mysteriously disconnected I asked for service and they gave me our sales guy. Who then explains that the reason they didn't do the back seat was because they didn't want to mess up my personal belongings. A towel on my back seat, wow that is really something you shouldn't touch...seriously? He then said he looked in the system and it had already been done before we bought it, so that now it had been done twice, LIE #4. Just by looking at the front seat you can see that they did not apply anything because the seats had fuzz and things I noticed before we dropped if off that if the seats were cleaned and protected would no longer have been there. He then told me to bring the car back down and I can watch them do it....I live 45 minutes away, so it is not convenient at all. He gave me the typical wants me to be happy with my car talk and I tell him that I am happy with my car, but not with the service and the process of buying the car. After I expressed how I felt about my experience he says they shouldn't even have sold the car to me for that price. Honestly, just the worse experience ever. I am not an idiot nor am I hard to please, but this experience was not pleasant, was not truthful, was not something I want to relive and I will NEVER recommend anyone going the SunTrup to buy a car. After agreeing on buying, going over all details with the finance manager and being assured we would receive all the needed paperwork within 5 -7 business days so we could transfer our tags from our trade in, get the loan/warranty paperwork, etc., we drove our new Nissan home. more

Suntrup Volkswagen - the pits 1/8/2009

I bought a volkswagen for my daughter in Oct. The car is great. The service was awful. I came back to this suntrup to buy because of promises made - once there they were not kept (but the promise was minimal in dollars so I did not leave). I was made promises after I bought the car which were not kept, in fact, denied they were made. I did not, again put up any argument because minimal in price. But when I actually needed their help with a phone number - I never received a call and/or email back. I waited a month and again emailed them asking for another phone number (for the financial company they arranged financing with). again no response - so then I did get angry because now it was principal. But Brian denied all this - saying he returned calls, etc. But if he did, he would have left the message of the phone number and I would not be upset. He also had my email address and my daugher's phone number so lots of ways to get ahold of us. I was also promised a tank of gas certificate - he was out of them but the next time my daughter was in the area to stop by. Suddenly, that never happened either. No tank of gas - and price of gas has gone way down. So the end line is: they are nice to buy from, will do the typical best friend to get you to sign, then you are history. The volkswagen is a good car. I recommend the car. I do not recommend Suntrup Volskwagen. I have bought many cars from many dealerships so I have some experience and not taken in very easily. I am sure they would have continued to be nice if I had not actually asked them to make good on their promises. Pros: It's a good car with many to choose from Cons: Typical promises and no follow up or follow through more

My 5th VW from Suntrup...better than ever. 6/15/2008

This is the fifth VW I have bought from Suntrup and the service gets better every time. I get my car washed there twice a month for free and I am always greeted with a smile and helpful hand. They are the best! Pros: HELPFUL, FRIENDLY,HONEST more

Great Experience 5/3/2008

Suntrup Volkswagen restored my faith in the car industry. They were fun, easy to work with and above all...honest. This is the way car buying should be.
