An amazing physician! Dr. Sunkureddi was able to help me with my panic disorder when no one else could. He takes a fun but professional demeanor and combines it with unparalleled knowledge. Dr. Sunkureddi has seen it all, and is very well-informed about most conditions. He is noted in his profession as one of the best, and I agree. One thing that impresses me even more is that Dr. Sunkureddi is often on the cutting edge, keeping up to date on the most current research. This means that he is often willing to try experimental or ""non-traditional"" approaches if he feels they might have a chance. And most importantly, Dr. Sunkureddi partners with you on treatment. He doesn't throw pills at you. He doesn't make up his mind before you speak. He listens and asks for your own input. Just one of the best, period. Highly recommended. more

On 2 occasions I had to cancel my appointment. It took several calls for me to even get through to the office. On both cancellations they never wrote it down in their books, then tried to tell me that I never canceled! Then office mgr. was suppose to write a prescription for me (a controlled substance) for a 3 mo. prescription and she wrote it up for one month - she did this twice (second time I caught it . She did change it, though, and was nice about it. It is important to me that records are meticulously taken and when there are discrepancies invariably the patient suffers. If you are looking for a doctor for medication management, Dr. Sunkureddi is a great choice. He is very knowledgable regarding psychiatric medications and is very willing to work with you to find the right combination for your specific condition. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a doctor who is also going to provide therapy/counseling at the same visit, he is not the doctor for you. If you need that kind of treatment, he will suggest a psychologist for you to work with in conjunction with him. \r \r The staff is also very helpful when you call and/or ask questions. They seem to know you your name when you call (although, as you would expect, they will need to look at your chart to know your specific condition/history). I have never had them fail to return a call on the rare occasion I have to leave a message and they are always prompt if I need them to do something like call and talk to my insurance or pharmacy. After ten years of being hospitalized every 4-6 months with the mood swings of a Bipolar I rapid cycler, I came to Dr. Sunkureddi. I had six psychiatrists who could not manage my medicine in 10 years and he was able to do it. In a short time, he found a combination of different medications, which have had to be changed frequently as moods change. But the result has been stability and I have learned about my disorder, how to adjust my medication, and how to manage my life and medication. I have not been hospitalized in six years.
