I was referred to Dr. Strickland's office by a friend who raved about it. (Well, as much as one can rave about going to the dentist!) I must say I'm very glad she told me about this office because I have had nothing but good experiences with them. And I've made several trips there since my initial visit because it turns out I have early periodontal disease (which is not surprising since I hadn't been to the dentist in 2 years before my first visit with Dr. Strickland). I have had them do X-Rays, root planing and scaling (for the periodontitis), and routine cleanings. My first fillings with them will take place on Nov. 30, 2005. The only hygienist I've had is Nikki and she's fantastic. Unlike other hygienists I've had in the past who try to kill you with dental floss and are quite rude, Nikki is VERY friendly, quick, and gentle with the floss. =o) The dentist also has done quick work on me and he's also very personable and quite funny. Our billing has been accurate except for one problem with the insurance which could have cost my husband and me a lot of money (and would have cost this office our business because it was their mistake), but they realized it was their mistake and they ate the cost of the mistake. That impressed me a lot, that not only did they apologize for the issue, they valued our business enough to bear the weight of their mistake.
The ONLY thing that is a bit bothersome is that except for my very first visit there I have had to wait at least 20 minutes past my appointment time to actually get into the chair. I realize this happens with all medical professionals and it's usually not their fault, but it's still frustrating when you are told to be there at a specific time and you're 5 minutes early and then you don't even get to go in the back for another half hour. Apart from this, though, they are nearly perfect. Highly recommended!
