I want to start off saying that BBB won’t allow for half stars, so I am giving them four stars, but really want to give them 4 1/2 stars.
We contracted Stratton Exteriors to do two separate projects and we are more then satisfied with the end products. They far exceeded our expectations actually. Price was reasonable and Scott, the job site foreman was great. I would definitely use them again and will have already recommended them to others.
Now to the reasons for taking a half a star off. First, the crews on site were messy, and I often had to clean up trash, cigarette butts, etc behind them or ask Scott to clean my yard up. I understand job sites are messy, but empty drink cans, cups, cigarette butts, are things I shouldn’t have to clean up. Next, I asked for an itemized estimate and they told me that they do their prices as cost per sq ft. That was fine, but when they decided it was quicker for them to use a bobcat, instead of a jackhammer to bust up the concrete, they wanted me to pay for the rental. They were saving time, therefore saving money by not paying the crew extra days, then expected me to pay for the rental. In my opinion, that is means and methods and should not be my responsibility to pay for the rental. Long story short, I agreed to pay half, cause neither side was budging, but got screwed in the end, cause they rented the machine twice.
There were some other issues that were handled without much hassle and nothing to hold against Stratton Exteriors and I don’t hold anything against them. I just want to be honest in my review. Like I said earlier, I am more that satisfied and will use them again if the need arises.
