Steve Black's Vacuums

My Dyson vaccum broke and Steve's estimate to fix it was $100 less than the competitor's. That was awesome. He fixed it and we picked it up. That same day my husband unloaded it from the car and got distracted. Minutes later he backed over it with my SUV. It was shattered. I had a rough day and that event sent me over the edge. I called Steve crying about my vaccum (mind you I hadn't vaccumed my house in a week at this point and I was losing my mind), he said bring it in. When I got there he said he had never seen anything like it but he'd try. That was all I could ask for. Today my husband picked up that vaccum and it is whole again. Some parts are different colors but it works great. Steve is my hero and he has a fan and customer for life. THANKS STEVE......YOU ROCK! more

I went to Steve Black's for his help with fixing my carpet cleaner and vacuum that both went out within months of each other. He was out to help me in a jiffy - I did not expect curb-side service. How nice! He confirmed my fears that trying to fix them would be way more than buying a new one. He was extremely helpful and honest about what machines he recommended. He was not pushy at all, just honest and helpful. I was super impressed with the Sanitaires that he sold in his shop. He has fantastic, old-school vacs and cleaners that are amazingly reasonably priced way less than the designer throw-away models on the market now. I am a VERY satisfied customer. more

I moved to Plano 12 years ago and needed to fix a vacuum cleaner. I found Steve Black's Vacuum and started unloading it from the back seat of my car when Steve saw me struggling with it and ran outside to help me bring it in. That sure made a good first impression! I was complaining about my old vacuum when Steve started talking about his Sanitaire. I was impressed with the demo and decided to chuck my old one and bought the Sanitaire. Today it is 12 years later and I bought my second one and got a very decent trade-in value for my first. The first one still works , but I liked the way the bag attaches on the newer model. So the purpose of this review is to say Steve Black has provided excellent service for many years, the Sanitaire vacuum lasted many years, and I looked online afterwards and Steve's price beats by far anything I could find on the internet. So, you can support your local business, have a local person available to buy the bags, do maintenance on the vacuum, etc and still not hurt your pocketbook. It's a win/win situation. more
