Very caring church! 10/25/2010

I have known the folks at Sterling Wood Church for 12 years now and think they are the warmest group of people that I have ever met. I know first hand that this church is involved with the community in outreach projects. The pastor and his staff mentor children at risk in the locale schools in the area. more

Wonderful and Warm Church 10/23/2010

The pastor and staff of this church are extremely relational. Being a member of this church for close to a decade, I have felt loved and accepted by its pastor, staff, and members. My children have thrived in the enviornment of this church! The pastor and the leaders have gone beyond in their efforts to reach out to the community around them! more

A church who really cares! 10/23/2010

I found this church to be relevant and accepting of all people. The pastor really walks the talk. He mentors at-risk children in a local elementary school every week, gets his hands dirty in community work projects, and has literally devoted his whole life to serving others. He is also a man of integrity who has perservered through many hardships and has withstood the test of time. more

Not surprised 5/11/2008

I am not surprised. No wonder people are leaving and the church that was once growing is now srinking. Its very sad. I went there for some time and have had many friends that have left only because of the NONE CHRISTIAN attitudes among some of the church staff. I fill that they have forgotten what it is all about and to whom it is about. Their only concern is self. more

A Pastor's charecter is questioned! 3/14/2008

I did not feel welcomed at this church. Everyone seemed to act like they were better than i was. I have had family go there for many years, and just recently the pastor has turned his back on one of his own. How does a church turn its back on one of God's people? How do you tell an elderly person they are no longer welcome? I don't question the pastors love for Christ, but i do question his ability to lead people in the right direction. If he could turn his back on a fellow church member who has been dedicated to his church for over a decade, he isn't helping the church. His true charecter has shown in this situation. This is not a church I would ever attend again! more
