Sterling Place

DO NOT LIVE HERE!! First they moved us into a unit that was unlivable. We asked to see it before we moved in and they said we couldnt go in while vendors were still painting. I found out why. There was a broken window, mold in the closet, water damage and mold under all three sinks. Two outlets had gaps under them, wire was sticking out in ceiling fan, dirty carpet and many more serious issues. After months of this we had to contact the company that owns all of these properties and they made them fix the stuff but the place was so bad they offered to move us so we did. Only to find months later the new place had AC that did not work and was fixed once but broke again and was never fixed. Our roof started cracking and leaking and we were so mad we wanted out of our lease and every manager under the sun told us no and they would fix the roof today. Well to no surprise it has not been fixed and were stuck here. God knows when they will finally fix it. Also trash always overflows due to one trash bin. I regret the day I signed a lease here and will probably need a lawyer if I want out of this lease!\r more

\r My roommate and I have lived here for 2 months and in that short time there have already been 3 apartments broken into in our building (as well as numerous cars). Our door was kicked in in the middle of the day and our TVs, computers, and numerous other things were stolen. Management has done nothing about the lack of security and the place doesn't seem to be getting any safer. If you value your belongings live somewhere else. The apartment itself is fine but the trash is always overflowing and the staff seems completely incompetent. Unfortunately, we can't get ahold of anyone outside of the leasing office who can help with this situation. I can't wait for my lease to end. more

I was very excited to move into this apartment complex and was disappointed when I had to cancel my place on the wait list due to my fiancee getting accepted to graduate school in another state. Four months ago I called and cancelled my place on the wait list and just yesterday Sterling Place cashed checks from my original deposit from back in November. They refused to refund anything and essentially stole my money. I would strongly advise anyone not to rent an appartment from Sterling. I'm so glad that we never did move in, because if they are taking money like this now, I can only imagine how much they would have taken us for had we moved in.\r \r more

I've lived in apartments all over Ohio, and can honestly say that Sterling PLace is the best community I have every experienced. The grounds are beautiful, when things need fixed they are done promptly. The buildings are freshly painted and look so nice and neat all the time. I have never made a request to the office staff that was not answered right away, or dealt with in a courteous and professional manner.\r \r My neighbors are so pleasant and it's very quiet here. Unlike the last place I lived, the office holds nice social events for the residents from time to time. I have met neighbors who say they will live here forever, because Sterling place is as pleasant as owning a home minus all the headache. I must admit that I completely agree, and would consider strongly an offer to buy my place as a condo!\r \r Great office staff & maintenance! Beautiful from the inside out! Convenient to everything!
