I purchased a BMW 530 from Statewide in May 2010. I read the reviews on Yahoo and was wary of them, to say the least. However, I have to say that I don't understand where all of the negative reviews are coming from. My experience with them was great. The salesmen returned all of my calls or emails in a timely manner and was very open with the whole deal. The price of the car was great. I think one problem people have is that they expect Statewide to back the condition of the cars, but from the beginning, I approached this transaction for what it is: a purchase of a car, AS-IS. They are just selling pre-owned cars, so it's up to the buyer to make sure he or she is satisifed with the car, not Statewide. I don't care what a seller or dealer says--I am the only one who knows what I like and what I dont like, so I don't depend on their word. I had the car inspected by an independent BMW repair shop (it was pricey, but detailed) and went to to see it for myself afterwards. The car was in great shape and they cleaned it very well. Everything, including paperwork, went very smoothly.
I have no complaints about Statewide and would buy from them again. As with anything, if you're considering a car from here, just make certain the car is in good shape and get a good mechanic or shop to inspect it before you finalize the deal. I've seen comments from reviewers who purchased cars over $90,000 but didnt bother to pay $200-$300 bucks for someone to inspect it first--so they blame the dealers. Remember, these cars are sold AS-IS.
