Star Center is located just minutes from the Shady Hollow community. We have been enrolled since April of 2009. Our son, 7 enjoys participating with the competitive Boys Team. Their rigorous training schedule and our son's coaches keep him motivated to do his best at gymnastics every day! more

Having our son attend Star Center Gymnastics has been such a positive experience for our son and our family. Our son is currently a part of their competitive Boy's Team and I couldn't be happier with the training he has received. The coaching staff here is outstanding! In fact one of our coaches received ""Coach of the Year"" for the whole state of Texas! This is a tough program but if you really want to take gymnastics seriously and want your son to excel in this sport, then this is the only gym for you. No other gyms in the area compare..... more

The biggest plus+ At Star Center Gymnastics it doesn't matter whether your child is a top notch athlete or just beginning to jump off the couch: the instructors here are committed to providing the most experienced and well-rounded instruction at all levels. I myself have been involved within the gymnastics community for over two decades and our most senior coach (who still teaches 4 and 5 year olds) has devoted himself to the sport for over 50 years. We (as instructors) recognize that children who participate in an environment that is both fun and safe, learn to develop positive habits and attitudes for and about themselves and others. That is our primary goal here at Star Center: if we happen to cultivate competitive champions along the way, all the better. The biggest minus- I won't go into any details other than to say that we are continually taking steps to improve the parent's experience. We are aware of certain areas pertaining to customer service that need strengthening, and we are working hard to better our image in the community. We offer a lot of different programs here at Star Center, and oftentimes it can be difficult to please such a wide array of interests. That being said, we are taking steps to provide solutions that all respective parties can appreciate. The instructors here are wonderful, the owner is not. I joined a week ago. Unfortunately, I had a cut that was aggravated by the exercise.. I guess I was so excited to join that I didn't wait long enough after donating. First time donor. I cleaned it all up and wiped down the counter, at least I thought, and re bandaged myself in the bathroom and was fine. I know it was gross, but the doctor had said I would be fine by the time I got there and I was embarrassed enough by it. Well, the next day I got an angry call from the owner. Basically, the day after I gave his business my money, he called me (reiterate He called Me) just to tell me I was inconsiderate. I told him I DID think I cleaned it all up and that I wasn't the sort of person to just leave someone with a mess intentionally. You'd think he'd stop there, but he continued with some sort of what-were-you-thinking speech to berate me further as if he didn't believe me. ""I would not recommend this gym after the terrible customer service we received. Our daughter took a few gymnastics classes here but wasn't that into it. After she injured her hand we stopped going for a few weeks. I then received a call from them saying that we were late on our October payment. Apparently they have a weird drop policy that if you can't come (even temporarily) you have go in personally two weeks in advance and fill out a form. Since we were unaware of this policy we had to pay for 2 full months during which our daughter never actually attended. We tried to reason with the owner but he would not budge and had to pay $180 for nothing.\r \r Before I became pregnant, I was the manager of Yoga Yoga and had to handle many situations with our students. Personally, I know how important customer service is as a small business and I would have never treated a student like this. I have always gave our students the benefit of doubt and even call our students who have monthly memberships when they don't come to class for a while to make sure they still want to continue to be charged. \r \r I did like our daughter's gymnastic teacher but I would not recommend this business purely based on their poor customer service.""\r Pros: nice instructors Cons: poor customer service more
