Speedway Cleaners

Stay away from this place. They ruined my daughters very expensive prom dress. The tailor not only cut off the beautiful train, they got grease on the back of the dress. The train was what my daughter loved about the dress. We were referred there by the dress store to have it hemmed. My daughter and I went there to get it pinned and very clearly said to taper the hem so the train would remain intact. When we went to pick it up we discovered the grease and left it for them to clean. When I finally got the dress home, I discovered they had cut all of the train off without asking us if it was OK. I complained to both Speedway Cleaners and the dress shop. The dress shop gave us $50 refund on the dress. Speedway refunded us the cost of the hemming through the mail and only after I called the dress shop more than once. Speedway never called and said they were sorry. I will never trust Speedway Cleaners ever again. more

The best form of advertising is word of mouth good or bad. Hopefully some people will heed your warning and take their business elsewhere. I wish someone had been there to warm me before my clothes were lost. Irreplaceable stuff too. It's a shame, but trying to explain yourself to any of them is near impossible! more

I was taken to the cleaner by this company and so was a family member! I wrote a check in June that unfortunately did not clear my bank because it was NOT deposited on an agreed upon date by the STORE OWNER (I asked her to hold it for 4 days, she waited 4 weeks!). The funds (near $60.00) were overlooked and well, sh*t happens. As soon as I knew it bounced, I made well about 3 weeks later in cash when I was picking up 2 other orders totaling another almost $80.00! I had not even been notified by her yet. I figured small business, my mistake, and I wanted to maintain a good long-term rapport with the company as I use their service a lot. I thought it was all done. Just before Thanksgiving (5 months later!) my check has JUST cleared the bank. Yup, the check that I already paid! The owner is not willing to accept that it is a possibility that I paid it, in fact she is acting as if I am out to CHEAT her! How upsetting! I am now out about $160- after 2 NSFs from my bank, the original amount of the check and also the amount in cash when I made it right. LESSON....keep your cash receipts!!!!! Also when dealing with Speedway Cleaners, check to make sure you have all of your laundry and NOT someone else's. The cleaners lost 2 of a family member's favorite shirts, told him to go and buy 2 more, that they would reimburse him for his loss; of course they were not on special now and totaled nearly $100.00, then about a month later someone had returned the other 2 shirts that had mistakenly been mixed with their things. The owner then told my dad she would not pay for the new shirts. He had worn them already and could not return them at this point. Does she completely lack the idea of give a little, get a lot. This family is done using Speedway Cleaners. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! CONSUMER BEWARE!! more
