Need fresh bread, freshly baked cake or just want to satisfy your sweet tooth, Specialty's Cafe & Baker is the right place for you. They have amazing Sandwiches and freshest bread. Try them once to see what you are missing. The only 2 things missing: most of my favorites breads are never available if i reach late (coz people buy it early) and why on earth would they not open new joints more

THE BEST sandwiches EVER 5/4/2005

I miss several things about working in The City. But I think the most evident is access to Specilty's. They may have the BEST sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. And I've been AROUND! Well, OK. The best sandwiches in the Bay Area, Southwest Indiana and Eastern Missouri, anyway. Several locations to serve the Financial District in downtown SF. I really wish they would branch out, though knowing the Tri-Valley, I understand why they would not. Try anything on the menu and you will be impressed. more

Warm homemade bread! 8/9/2004

Specialty's makes fantastic fresh homemade bread. All of their bread is made in small batches, so don't count on your favorite bread always being available. In particular, Iva loves their rosemary bread... Also a great destination for tasty sandwiches. more
