Spa Sante

I have been getting my haircut by Chantele for some time now. She is very professional and a very talented barber. After every cut, I feel like a new man. A man with a very great haircut. Whenever people tell me how good my cut looks, I always say Chantele is the best in the business. As a guy, you might not think of going to a Spa to get a haircut, but I highly recommend you see Chantele. 5 stars. more

The only reason I created an account was to warn others against this salon. After reading the online reviews, I had decided not to try Sante. However, I was desperate and my friend said that she went and received great service. I decided to give them a try - big mistake! I went and wanted to test it out. Nicki, was completely disinterested and barely asked what I was looking for. After going through the whole process, I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe I caught her on an "off" day and went back. Not only was my color off, but she just started cutting my hair without even asking what style I wanted!!!! I couldn't believe it! When I stopped her and explained, she jumped right in and cut away without even checking each side for even lengths! Needless to say, I've learned my lesson - $200 before tip for each visit and my hair color is off and the cut is lopsided!!!! This is by far the most expensive price that I have paid for such horrible results. You can save yourself $170 and get the same results at Hair Cuttery! Both times I went, the salon was empty and she was the only stylist; I can only assume that this is because of the consistent poor service that they have been unable to keep any good stylists and/or customers... more

This is the most amazing spa I have ever been to! The customer service was outstanding, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was so inviting. I have to admit before going to spa sante i read the reviews and was a bit nervous because there are so many bad reviews. After reading each review it sounds to me as if some upset employees are acting as customers and writing nasty things! I like the one about the brown "dirty" couches! Im sorry but the original color of the couch is brown! I had a massage and a facial there and it was very relaxing. Not to mention the receptionist there was so nice in helping me set up my appointments. This spa is a great place to go and I will definitly be going back! more

So, as a former employee who walked into a train wreck, I feel the need to inform the public. The owner, Elaine, has no business running a biz that deals with the public. Her daughter, Niki, basically ran out all of the good talent. Angie(even though she really is a great hair stylist) either writes the reviews herself, or has her friends do it. Drugs fly in and out of that place. Bringing Chas and his team in there didn't help either. There are MUCH better place in town to go, and WAY more affordable. Don't get caught up! I was a bit nervous to go to this spa due to some of the reviews I've read on here. I have to say I was VERY impressed! I had an unbelieveable facial and my eyebrows sculpted with Shawna, and I had my hair done with Angie. Angie is now by far my favorite hairsylist. She is so talented and funny, we laughed the whole time. This Spa is very stylish and welcoming and the staff is very down-to-earth. I will be returning to Spa Sante. I have gone to Spa Sante for the passed two years for different services including hair cuts and massages. Over the weekend, my boyfriend purchased a massage for me as a surprise. He had heard me talk highly of Spa Sante so that is where he booked it. I couldn't have been more dissapointed. 1. The "white" robe was yellow and grungy looking. It was hanging in the locker on a gross wire hanger. 2. The waiting room had "white" couches but they were brown and dirty. 3. There were no candles burning or music. 4. The massage room was FREEZING! I couldn't even enjoy the massage because I was so cold. I couldn't wait for it to be over and I had to sit in the sauna afterwards just to warm up! 5. Finally, the WORST part is the masseuse put so much presseur on my lower back that I am sore today. I'm not sure if she was paying attention but she literally bruised my lower back. I had my hair done with Angela Braccia and she was GREAT!!!! My hair has never been so beautiful and healthy EVER!!!! It took me while to explain exactly what I wanted (I just wanted to get it right), she didnt mind at all how picky I was being. I have had nothing but compliments on my hair since I walked out the door of Spa Sante!!! I will NEVER let anyone else touch my hair ever!! I strongly recomend Angie to anyone having difficulty finding a stylist (as was I), she is by far the greatest stylist in Baltimore. Spa Sante Rocks!!! I went for my first ever Brazilian wax at Spa Sante. Naturally, I was really nervous but my beautician, Shawna, was outstanding. "I've seen it all!" She said before I laid down. She put on some Jason Mraz and talked me through it. She gave me tips on upkeep and was really nice about letting me come in for touch ups without an extra fee. The whole process took about an hour for me, but she said it doesn't take that long the next few times. She was a lovely woman and we had a great conversation despite all the pain that was going on down there. I HIGHLY recommend waxing with Shawna and couldn't be happier with the job she did! I can't believe this place is still in business! You have gum chewing receptionists who answer the phone. People who do not know how to greet people when the enter or even as they are paying for their massages. How do you make money? Surely this economy will take you out because NO ONE should go back there. My massage was horrible, it was only 25 min even though I paid for a lot more. The person left in the middle of it (where did she go?!?!) and returned 10 minutes later but did not extend my massage for longer! I was so irate and upset. Went in to get a color and cut. Told the guy to not give me a mullet (a la Mrs. Brady). He did it anyway! Had to correct the disaster. Went to Studio 921. Danielle saved me from the mullet-look! Pros: Easy to get to Cons: No Parking, Dirty, Paint Peeling, etc. more

I was reading the reviews of the spa & was appalled at the mean hateful review of my stylist Tracy. She has been in the salon business for twenty years and is nothing but professional! She has been doing my color and cuts every six weeks for almost two years and never have I had any compliants! I get so many compliments from my husband to random strangers that it is crazy! Which is probably why she has such a great following of clients from her twenty years of doing hair! Whomever wrote the prior review either does not know what a great stylist is or what is classified as a great haircut! Good Luck going somewhere else haters more

I went to Spa Sante while I was on a frequent visit to Baltimore. The only reason I chose this spa was from the amazing reviews. I wish I would have had a better outcome. I had the most horrific experience. Not only was the massage horrible, the stones were so hot they almost burnt my skin. I let the girl massaging me know to use more pressure and that the stones were too hot, but it never changed. When I thought things couldn't get worst somebody started doing the dishes outside my room!!!!!!! This doesn't do well to establish a relaxing atmosphere. On top of the workers doing the dishes while I was getting massaged I could hear the bass from the music downstairs. I emailed the owners after the experience to let them know of my disturbing experience and no one even emailed me back to acknowledge it!! I had a horrible experience at this spa a while back, i will spare you the details. I've learned that recently the owners were sued by their landlords for hundreds of thousands of dollars in back rent. Also seems that all of the positive reviews were written by people who favor CAPS LOCK and lots of !!! and CSMobileUser2, you've written 722 reviews of places on this forum? get a life! and plenty of the places were hair salons, so it seems like you shop around.... perhaps a 9000 sq ft spa is not the best business to own in a deep recession. more

I have been a resident of baltimore city for several years now and have searched high and low for a great hairstylist. Finding a great stylist is alot harder in this town then I thought! I have literally been to every salon in town and was about to just return to my original hairsylist in new york city and just deal with the distince. Thankfully on a beautiful december day I while walking through the trendy haboreast area I stumbled upon Spa Sante, I figured what the hell I'll give baltimore stylists one more try. I booked an appt for cut & color and highlights. I WAS GREETED BY THE SWEETEST MOST TALENTED STYLIST I HAVE EVER MET! ANGELA BRACCIA! SHE WAS AMAZING! SHE TOOK HER TIME TO CONSULT WITH ME BEFORE WE DID ANYTHING AND REALLY TOOK THE TIME TO ASK ME WHAT I LIKED AND DISLIKED ABOUT MY HAIR!! KNOW ONE HAS EVER ASKED ME THAT BEFORE! WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY MY HAIR TURNED OUT FLAWLESS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MANY COMPLIMENTS!! ANGELA THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WORKING YOUR MAGIC ON ME AND SAVING ME A TRAIN RIDE TO NYC!! I will never understand the lack of class that some people exhibit and then try to put their own petty BS on someone else. Thankyou all for your support. I mis Spa Sante and Baltimore on a reqular basis and I am so happy to see that such trash posts about my coworkers and I have all but gone unnoticed. I know there are some truely classy people out there and in fact have had the opprotunity to maintain a few clients here in NC. I wish you all the best. My Boyfriend and I got a couples massage here last week during a work/play vacation. While we were not impressed with the physical appearance of the spa, we had fantastic massages with our therapists. They used innovative techniques and tailored the experience to our needs. The aromatherapy was a nice treat however the promised dessert was below expectations. more

Im Erin, and I am writing a review now. I have recently relocated to NC and was browsing through city search at my new salon only to discover some very hateful and unnessecary comments here.I have got to say that Chas and Elaine are two of the most wonderful individuals I have ever had the chance to work with and I will always cherish my time spent with them. I am disgusted by the comments here! That I would write my own review, please! While I appreciate the client taking up for me in the other review; that was a misunderstanding, a bad day! COME ON PEOPLE WE ALL HAVE THEM! Everything was resolved the next day.!I love Chas so much that there isnt even room to express it here and Elaine is a dedicated and hard working proffessional woman who does not deserve any of the trash written about her here. I must also say that my choice to move was my own! I wanted to rejoin my family and that is the only reason that I left!Trust me, my job was not a factor! I was stagnant and in need of a new opprotunity. I would encourage all of my clients to remain loyal to Spa Sante! There is truely something special happening here. All things take time and of course there are kinks. I beg you remember that ruthless individuals are the seed of discontent and we cannot allow them to sway us from a positive, meaningful path.
