Worst dentist ever\r Had to fill one filling three times in one sitting. Said it was a replacement and it wouldn't show so opted for silver. Now looks like i have a huge chunk of broccoli in my teeth. Had to wait over two weeks for correction. Unnecessary anesthetic as a portion of my face was numb and painful for over two weeks.\r Inappropriate sighing and comments during procedure. Inconsiderate to pause for a moment to suction crumbs. Unaware of tools banging teeth and hand pressure so lips often got pinched.\r \r Pro, i met dr. Bodian temp sub dentist when i went to get the filling changed to tooth colored. She was everything you could ask for in someone who is working on your precious teeth. Very considerate of crumbs in mouth, pain awareness and made no unnecessary unprofessional comments. Made me aware of everything she was doing. Amber Her assistant was a bit rough with the water and suction as i was caught off guard a lot with my face getting sucked or water splashing all over my face. \r \r Con, I'm switching dentists and am Very willing to drive the extra 30min to see dr. Bodian in chapel hill with any future dental needs.\r \r Pro, office staff and hygienist carmen, excellent customer service and ppl skills. more

GREAT DENTAL PRACTICE AND DOCTORS!\r \r Dr. Belvett and the staff of Southpoint Family Dentistry are very professional, knowledgeable and caring.I was referred by my orthodontist to this practice for dental maintenance and care, three years ago and have been very pleased with the level of attention that my son and I have recieved. This practice has accomodated my son's college schedule seeing him when he is home on breaks ensuring that his dental health is attended to during the hectic college years. I,personally believe in PAIN FREE dentistry and Dr Belvett has provided me that experience during ALL my dental appointments including the ones for major dental work such as a crown and a dental implant! \r \r This is a wonderful dental practice and I recommend them often and highly. \r \r more

Questionable Practices 3/17/2012

These folks do not play around with outstanding balances and threaten to report you to credit agencies if you owe them just a couple dollars. Even if the postage stamp costs more than your balance, you better pay up, or risk damage to your credit report. They decided to take some x-rays on me, after confirming that my insurance company would cover it. My insurance company did not cover the x-rays and they billed me. When I complained, they agreed to not make me pay but refused to see me again. Now I must find a new dentist! more

Best Dental Experience 11/7/2011

I have been a patient of Dr. Belvett's since moving to North Carolina almost 4 years ago. I love the staff and Dr. Belvett. Going to the dentist can be nerve racking enough without having the added pressure of a nonsocial staff. I have become an Invisalign patient a few months ago and the service I receive is incredible.\r \r Many of my friends have now started seeing Dr. Belvett as well and I'd recommend her and her staff to anyone. more

Great Staff but Drs work not so great.... 7/28/2009

I had a friend who had an appointment at the office and from start to finish, she said the staff from the front desk, to the hygienist, to the assistants were great. What wasn't so great was the amount of times she had to go back to have a filling redone or checked, or grinded down so she could bite evenly. Now being no stranger to having dental work done I feel like I fully know what to expect especially after getting worked on. Never in my years of dental experience have I known anyone who had to go back multiple times to have the same tooth worked on! She said the work seemed to be rushed through and that she was in and out in no time, which seemed great at first, but the amount of times she had to go back wasn't worth it. The work was redone at no cost to her, but it did cost her her time. She won't be going back there and I definitely wouldn't want any of my friends or family to have similar experiences. (Oh, and if you were wondering, she didn't want to publish anything about her experience but I felt like her story needed to be shared so others could make better informed decisions.) Pros: great and friendly staff Cons: quality of work is poor more

Great Patient Care From Warm and Friendly Office! 9/25/2008

We love Southpoint Family Dentistry! I haven't experienced better patient care. Included in my routine examination was a mouth cancer check and dental floss instruction that actually taught me something new. When I had a filling replaced, Dr. Belvett and her assistant did a terrific job. Not only did I have no pain and minimal discomfort, but I did not suffer any residual soreness when the anesthetic wore off.\r \r Dr. Belvett's warm and friendly staff takes care of you from the second you check in until you check out. Dr. Belvett even called me the day after my filling replacement to make sure my mouth was ok!\r \r I will say that this office doesn't sport all of the latest equipment. However, we didn't miss it and based on the quality of care are selecting this office as our permanent dental home. (A previously used dental office that did have the newest equipment received a very poor review from me, so you can take this feedback from someone who isn't gushy.) Pros: Quality care, warm and friendly staff, easy location, good parking Cons: Equipment isn't cutting edge, but isn't antiquated either more
