Love Southpoint! They have been taking care of my pets for the last 2 years. My dogs love them, and my cat tolerates them (which is good for her!)\r \r Highly recommend them more

Southpoint is nothing but the best! 9/21/2011

My two pets were both patients of Dr. Lapham when we lived in Durham. He and his staff always have provided excellent care to my dogs. Dr. Lapham is very competent in what he does and truly cares about the patients he sees. Dr. Lapham diagnosed a problem with one of my little one's kidneys. The facilities are very clean and the staff and doctors wash their hands prior to handling your pet. All the staff are caring and gentle with the pets and my pets were always at ease with them. Dr. Lapham has gone above and beyond in caring, he has made himself available to talk even when we moved to Boston. I consulted him about labs and diagnosis when I moved up here and he took more time to explain them to me than the vet that presented the results up here. I REALLY wish we still had access to this wonderful Animal hospital. We already miss Southpoint! more

I won't take my dogs anywhere else! 8/1/2011

I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Lapham since before he opened this practice, but he's totally worth following. I've been through two new puppies with him, a cancer diagnosis in another dog, and eventually, euthanasia. He has been wonderful in every situation. Dr. Lapham is incredibly kind and compassionate, takes the time to explain things, and it's obvious he genuinely loves animals. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else! more

Great Vet 3/12/2011

Southpoint is a great vet. I highly recommend them. Their prices on meds are a bit high so I recommend buying then at 1800 pet meds instead. more

Great new vet practice 9/30/2010

I am really impressed with Southpoint and Dr. Farling. My cat, who is normally noisy and unhappy at a vet's office, was calm and relaxed during the entire visit! more

Great Practice 9/7/2010

I can't praise Dr. Farling and her wonderful staff enough. Being brand new to the area with a sick kitty, I immediately needed a good vet. Dr, Farling proved to be the answer to my prayers and provided kitty with the finest care and he is now healed up and happy again. Southpoint is now my vet--won't go anywhere else. more

Great Animal Care 8/30/2010

There are many good vets in the Triangle area, and Southpoint Animal Hospital is in the top 1%. The facility is wonderful, well planned and great for the animals. Service has been fantastic. Vet care is excellent, exams thorough and vet stays with you as long as needed providing advice and guidance on anything you need or have concerns with. My dog is so calm there, every time I take her in for a exam she falls asleep (and she is only a puppy)! If you are looking for a new vet, I highly recommend this animal hospital. more

The BEST Local Vet 7/18/2010

If your looking for a vet that truly loves animals, provides excellent care, and is genuinely interested in the quality of your pet's life ... Dr Lapham is the VERY BEST vet in town. Dr. Lapham has been my vet since Dr. Todd moved to the NC Mountains 8 years ago. Dr. Todd and Dr Lapham are the only two vets I've seen in 18 years. No other vet in the triangle area comes close. I've heard the complaints about other vets in the area: hard to work with, insensitive to their client's needs, sending a pet home with medicine and no diagnosis, overcharging, providing unnecessary services, and misdiagnosis. In 18 years I've never experienced these problems. Everyone I know was either seeing Dr. Lapham when I met them or I've persuaded to see him: my friends, the owner of Wag Pet Boutique, the owner of Gourmutt's, my dog trainer, my neighbors, and even my pet sitter. Recently my dog rescued a deaf 4 week old kitten from a ditch. I wasn't sure I was going to keep him so, Dr. Lapham only did what was necessary to ensure his good health. Of course I opted to keep the kitten and I know he's got the very best vet in town. Pros: Honest, Genuine, Thorough, Integrity more

Best Vet I Have Ever Had! 4/27/2010

I have seen Dr. Lapham for 9 years. He is the best vet I have ever had! Last August, he helped me in putting Carlos to sleep. He was so kind and compassionate!\r He even mailed me a sympathy card. How many vets do that. I did get a new puppy and when I took her in to\r see Dr. Lapham, he helped with the guilt I was feeling\r over putting Carlos to sleep and also by getting another friend. It will be a further drive for me, but I feel it is worth it! Pros: Kind, Caring, Understanding, reasonable Cons: Non more

Never going anywhere else! 4/27/2010

Dr. Farling treated my chocolate lab (Sadie) like the family member that she is. From puppyhood through adolescence, she provided thorough examinations as well as education regarding labrador-specific medical issues. She spent a lot of time talking with me during regular appointments, after Sadie was spayed, working with me to determine the cause of my baby's allergies, and after she had to perform surgery when Sadie ingested unfathomable foreign objects. She is the only veterinarian I will ever see.? more

Dr. Lapham 4/25/2010

We saw Dr. Lapham when he was 30mins from our home for our dog. Now has his own practice i hour away and we still are clients. the new office is state of the art, the staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Lapham is excellent. He is knowledgeable, cares about the animals, and gives you treatment choices that are best for the animal and owner not just for his bank account. \r People may think all vets are like that but believe me, to some it is just a job. I wouldn't trust my animals to anyone else. Pros: knowledge, compassion, understanding more

Dr. Lapham is the only vet for us! 4/22/2010

Dr. Lapham is the only vet I will use as long as I am in the state of North Carolina. When one of our dogs had a injury (that turned out to be minor) when we just moved here another well recommended vet tried to charge us over $600 and said that our dog needed to have a surgery to fix the problem. On the advice of a friend we took our dog to see Dr. Lapham and he realized that the dog needed a very minor procedure that cost us less than $100 and no surgery. A year later the dog is just fine and we realized we found a vet we could trust to not take us to the poor house. Dr. Lapham realizes that his business will grow with happy customers vs. over charging! Our dogs love Dr. Lapham and he always gives very thorough exams. A bonus for us and our greyhound is that Dr. Lapham has owned greyhounds and is very familiar with their special needs. Pros: honesty, reasonable, knowledge, demeanor more

Triangle's best vet! 4/22/2010

Dr. Lapham has seen my 2 dogs for the past 4 years and I have been extremely pleased with his dedication, honesty, and gentle touch them. My girls have had to see him for more than just yearly check ups, with one cracking a tooth and another ripping off her dew claw, and in both cases Dr. Lapham saw them almost immediately. And, for a student on a budget, a certainly appreciated the fact that he did not recommend we do unnecessary procedures, like some other places may have. I would and have recommend him to all my friends!! Pros: honest, dedicated, knowledgeable, kind with animals... more
