I was a brand new patient hoping to get allergy tested. After being abandoned in a room I finally got vitals taken. \r Then MD (who didn't even tell me his name) spent about three minutes with me & told me to sit in hallway for allergy test.\r There must have been 15 staff yucking it up with each other. \r I read two magazines. Finally after an hour & a half I decided to leave. One staff member did apologize but it was too late. \r I do not recommend. more

According to staff, medical director Dr. Gerald Vernon took over in the last few months. In my opinion, Vernon was rude, verbally abusive, manipulative, and sexually harassed me by constantly referring to me by terms such as "honey," "dear," etc., while telling me he was "only trying to help" me because he "felt sorry for" me. Meanwhile the facts were i needed no "help" from him because my insurance covered the "favors" he was offering. He came across as the sleazy uncle about to prey on a younger female relative. After I politely and respectfully asked his staff to communicate to him that I be treated with more respect, he dropped me and refused me treatment from the entire practice. In my opinion, this is what any female can expect if she goes there and does not enthusiastically agree with everything he says, as another woman on facebook wrote about a similar experience with another dr there. I was rear ended in a high collision car accidents in the beginning of October 2012. I began treatment early November with the care of Kristen,Tom, Leslie Davis, Doctor Mike and Doctor Avetian. my typical care plan consist of 4 days a week with that team who listens to my concerns and changes what needs to be done daily depending on what aches that day. the office offers one-stop shopping as I can have Lidocaine injections, stemming to my neck and lower back, ultrasound, back realignment, accupuncture and if necessary nutrition courses, blood work, xrays and assistance scheduling MRIs. The ability to schedule anytime during the day is also helpful as they offer long hours. I would appreciate immediate follow-up on MRI films but the team is open to discussion as soon as you make the request. I recommend South Jersey Health and Wellness if you are experiencing any pain. more

I am a police officer who received a serious, line of duty injury 4 years ago. The injury was to multiple areas, however the lower back was the most severely damaged. I was told at the time, by the workers comp doctors, that my back was so severely damaged that I may not be able to return to work and my life may never be the same again. I knew Dr. Anthony Carabasi from years prior and began receiving treatment at the SJHWC. Their treatment and Phyical Therapy was so thorough and so successful that I was able to return to full duty 5 1/2 months later. Since then, I have continued regular ""maintenance"" visits with Dr. Carabasi and Dr. Mike Edenzon and today I have absolutely NO PAIN OR DISCOMFORT in my back, neck, or any other area. I lift weights on a daily basis with no problem and can work a 12 hour shift with no pain or issues. I remember when Dr. Carabasi shared an office the size of a small coffee shop in Mt. Laurel. His practice was built on and has grown from primarily word of mouth. The SJHWC facility is huge and every member of staff is courteous, professional, and provide all patients with the proper amount of attention and care. I have personally recommended nearly 20 people for treatment there and will continue to do so. A true sign of a successful business is the ability to retain customers (patients) while gaining new ones. Every time I go to SJHWC I see a combination of the same patients that have been going there for years as well as new ones. All of the ones that have been going there for a while, look a lot better and a lot more comfortable than they did when they first started going. more

I've been with Dr. Mike Edenzon and the staff at SJHWC since my diagnosis in July 2011. They believe as I do, in the ability of the body to heal itself when given the right tools. We worked together to compile a food and vitamin plan for optimal health. Almost a year has passed and I want to scream it from the rooftops...I am 42 years old, I am not on any drugs, I have no symptoms...NONE... and I have Multiple Sclerosis. The alternative path works and SJWC will assist you in getting on the right path! more

I have been going to Dr. Carabasi for approx 15yrs. I go off and on. My back hurts he fixes it. The last time I was diagnosed with very bad back problems by my orthopdeic Dr. He wanted me to go to physical therapy. I said no I would go see my chiropractor and within the first visit I had 50% less pain. Right now I'm 95% pain free. I will never stop going this time. I will continue with maintenance forever. He is my Miracle worker. I highly recommend him, and his staff are just wonderful.. more

For the most part, I was not pleased with my experience with South Jersey Health & Wellness. My wife and I are having difficulty conceiving, and she visited to discuss some chiropractic solutions. She was recommended a complete blood panel analysis, along with a corresponding nutrition program (for both of us). Here were the problems: 1) We often spent up to an hour waiting for Dr. Carabasi, at which point he might send someone else in to ask us if we had any questions. These were follow-up appointments scheduled by him, not by us. 2) We were misquoted the price of the program by about $1,000. We were not informed of the discrepancy until we were about to begin the final phase of the program. 3) We were recommended to take dozens of different supplements every day. They were quite expensive, and I found them to be of lesser quality than those I have purchased from other retailers in the past.\r \r Although I cannot speak to the other services offered, I would not recommend them for this more

I scheduled an appt for a routine physical & was told that SJH&W didn't accept Aetna POS insurance, so I had to pay the out of pocket rate of $75. OK. But to find out the results of my routine physical (that I'm in good health) I had to schedule another appt & pay another $75. I didn't even get to see the original examining doctor the second time around. I was shuffled to another doctor who looked at my file for two minutes before he saw me. Don't doctors usually call you to tell you when everything's okay instead of hitting you up for another co-pay...? I know times are tough but come on... Cons: $$$$ more

Yes my back was killing me and these guys gave me a once over but as I kept going back I noticed that I felt so much better less headaches and more energy. more

I suffer from arthritis and i had suregery on one of my knees. My doctor told me that I would have to go through therapy to regain normal use of my knee. Well I will be honest in saying I really don't like to exercise. However I found the process to be kind of relaxiing because I used the pool for my knee therapy. I do really think it helped alot and I am much better now. It was a hassle having to go all the way out there but worth it. My therapist had great patienece and I appreciated that a lot. more

I love to go here for a simple adjustmetn, it makes me feel right. The doctors are great. they explain everything they do before they do it. I've been to other one's where the adjustments are painful, but I don't have that problem here. Dr. Carabasi, is friendly approachable and they treat many different ailments, including pregnant woman. They have very good hours too. Some days they open at 7am and others close at 9 pm... Give it a try you won't regret it. more

My husband had surgery to his back and was told he was never going to be able to return to work and have a normal life. When we seen them, he could not even walk a supermarket isle without a break. Now he is working full duty and has gone to Disney World and walked all 4 parks twice. They are kind compasionate and understanding individuals who truly care about the patient. more
