Soulard Market 4/7/2006

Another one of St. Louis’ treasures. The Soulard market brings the country right into the city, so you can get the best of both worlds. The food and shopping is wonderful. Not to mention the atmosphere is just so great. On a summer Saturday morning with all the hustle and bustle, it just makes you adore the city. more

A gem in Soulard!! 9/3/2005

This place is amazing. You can truly find so much great stuff here, and the prices are really great as well. You are buying locally too which is a great thing as the money stays in this area for the most part. During the seasons, you can get great deals on whatever is being harvested at the time. Soulard market is a great place to go at least once so that you know what is available there. Definitely check it out! Convenient South City location too! more

Get all your groceries in one place 8/31/2005

Soulard Farmers Market is a great place to get your groceries. It is indoors. It is open Wed. through Sat. The food is grown by local farmers. There is also a butcher and a spice shop where you can find fresh herbs and spices from all over the world. There are all types of people that shop there. It is so diverse. The food is great and fresh and at least 50% less thatn the supermarket. There are also vendors that sell non food items such as jewelry and clothing. It can be hard to find parking . The surrounding streets almost always have a empty spot to park. You might want to take a cart or stroller as there are no shopping carts and it can get really heavy. It's a great place. Highly recommeded. more

Unreal Farmers Market 8/19/2005

This place is the Best Deal in Town. If you are looking for organic or fresh fruits and vegetables, this is the stop. As it is now, Soulard is still the best place in town to buy food for cheap. Though it's open a couple of days a week, most of the stalls are empty save for Saturdays, when the morning brings thousands of shoppers to the well-worn facility. By mid-afternoon, the prices drop dramatically: cases of grapes go for two bucks; flowers sell for pennies on the dollar; meats and fish are slashed. more

More than a market 8/17/2005

Soulard Farmer's Market is more than just a farmer's market, it is a St. Louis Landmark. Here, you can get daily fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, flowers and other foodstuff. The Soulard Farmer's Market is located at Lafayette and Seventh Streets in the Soulard neighborhood, and is one of the oldest public markets still in existence in the United States. You are bound to find fresh market foods at the many stalls, some of which have been selling there for several generations. Great place to see interesting people as well. more

Great spot to see everything 8/11/2005

This is one of the funniest places to see all kinds of different people. It will be something you will never forget. It has been around for ever all local farmers. You can anything from A to Z. Make sure you bring a camera you will need it. You will see the true beauty of down town St.Louis. In the summer months it is where everyone goes on the weekend to look and buy anything and everything. more
