One day I had a late afternoon appointment to see my doctor which was to include service by their in-house phlebotomy station, also operated by Sonora Quest Lab. However, the Sonora Quest employee decided to leave early for the day without verifying if she had another customer waiting. So, I was left to attempt to get service at the subject lab which is located a few buildings away from my doctor's office. By the time I could walk the several hundred yards between the two buildings, it was right at 5:00 pm, their posted closing time. The front door was already locked. I knocked on the door and when it was opened by an employee, I explained why I had arrived at that time and told her I had been fasting since 9:00 pm the previous night in preparation for the lab work. She said that it was too bad - that I'd have to come back the next day because they were closed. Fortunately, I found another Sonora Quest Lab at Dobson and the US 60 that stayed open until 6:00 pm. I called ahead to make sure they would take care of me. The lady I spoke with told me they would take me in even if I arrived at 6:00 pm. I went there, got serviced, and got out well before 6:00 pm. It would have saved me a lot of frustration and several dollars worth of gasoline if the first two Sonora Quest lab employees had acted in a professional manner.
Pros: There are other Sonora Quest Labs to choose from
Cons: Is there anyone besides Sonora Quest that does this service?
