Somerset At Deerfield

do yourself a favor and do not even think of renting or signing any papers in any place owned by the connor group. it was a mistake to rent from them here at the somerset at Deerfield in mason . actually they were forced on us after they bought the property from the previous company .very careless people and they think they can do whatever they want and you do not have the right to complain .I have plenty of stories about them including me personally, people who left here ,and I wish to leave but they said there is no lease break ,DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LISTEN TO MY SINCERE ADVISE ,DO NOT RENT FROM ANY OF THE CONNOR GROUP OWNED PROPERTIES .they will turn your life to a hell on earth and I have never seen such a reckless people ,makes me wonder if it is a requirement to work for them or it is part of their employment application to be disrespectful . it will be the happiest day of my life to leave this place. Please listen to the honest people and DO NOT RENT HERE more

This place seems amazing on the outside, and the women who sell these apartments are terrific con artists. They are absolutely horrible, snobby, rude and mean women running this complex. One is fat and old, the other are young and middle aged who look upset with you when you need something. God forbid they would have to do their job. more

This place appears very nice at first, personally i loved it.. Little did I know the staff is rude, management is terrible and service is non-existent. Ive not even been here 5 months and my water has been shut off at least once a month for water main brakes, my shower head has broke(took them 4 weeks to fix it), dishwasher flooded, shower and sink are constantly clogged, etc.. The walls are so thin we can hear everything the ppl under us say and do. The complex promises 24 hour gym and baskerball court but ive never once been able to get into the basketball court- always closed. Since the weathers gotten bad not once have the roads been cleared and salted- which they also promise is included. Bottomline ive lived in many dif complexs and this one is by far the worst! Whatever you do dont live here! If it would let me give 0 stars i would! more

This place was a disappointment from the beginning. The day we came to get a tour there were unsupervised kids (ages 10-16) running amuck all around the lobby of the clubhouse and playing on the workout equipment. Later in the tour we found out they are kids of the staff!! We were taken in a beautiful model and impressed with their location and "gated" concept where our apartment would be. Shortly after moving in we wondered where all of our lights were?! After signing our contract we were told that (although the model has them) the apartments don"t come with lighting!! There were no overhead lights in the living room or either bedroom!! They told us if we wanted them we had to PURCHASE them ourselves, but had to have one of the maintenance men put them in for us, and the list was about a 6 month wait!! We were never given a form to fill out upon move in so we could note the NUMEROUS carpet stains and issues with the paint, etc. We were told not to worry about it, it won't be a problem. Once more during our time there I asked about this check-out sheet and was told it "wouldn't be a problem". Since were a couple without kids or pets who doesn't wear shoes in the house, we agreed it shouldn't be a problem. But, the longer we walked around on that carpet (that badly needed to be replaced) we saw many stains that were simply cleaned over and were starting to resurface! And, the "gated" concept they had sold us on was a farce! That gate was closed a total of ONE TIME the entire 7 months we lived there. We had the maintenance man come and fix our clogged shower once and he put all the junk and gunk and hair that he had cleaned out of the drain IN OUR TOILET!!!! Looked to me like he had nothing better to do than to fix toilets, too!! Also, they always had an issue getting our water bill to us on time and then would post things on our door about us being late paying it! This place couldn't have been more disorganized or a bigger SHAM when comparing what they really were to what they pretended to be. I couldn't have been more HAPPY to move OUT OF THERE!!!!!! Oh, and (of course) when we moved out they tried to charge us for those stains on the carpet. UNREAL. Pros: location Cons: Unorganized and dishonest staff, dirty "luxury" apartments!! more
