Not so cool. It's just a waterfall. Then again I'm from Hawaii where I see a waterfall every single day. Maybe it's not so boring if you're from somewhere else.

Way too many people! 11/8/2008

I would highly recommend this place for families or people who like to go outdoors for short walks and beatiful sites. The fall is very nice BUT there are way too many people for my taste. It was very touristy and I felt strange because everyone seemed to have children.... If you want to go for a real hike I would suggest elsewhere but if you need a quick family trip this place is great. Pros: Family Friendly, Nice Location Cons: Crowded, No hard trail more

beautiful view, short drive from seattle area 7/20/2008

I have lived in the seattle area for 3 years and just made it to the falls with our last batch of visiting family. It is quite an engineering marvel! You can hear the roar of the falls before you leave the parking lot/can see it. The mist rises up from where the falls rush into the water and create amazing photo ops. The late spring/early summer are some of the best times to visit because the mountain snow is melting fast and it creates more impressive falls. Make sure you get the brochure that explains how the falls' engineering works. There is also a train museum with lots of old (most are not restored) trains and a restored depot. You can drive by and see all the trains, just a few miles down road from the falls. Pros: no fee to see the falls, amazing photo ops Cons: parking lots have tiny spots and are very full more

Beautiful 10/19/2007

Snoqualmie Falls is breathtaking. Wear comfortable shoes if you want to walk down to the bottom of the Falls. The town of Snoqualmie is also worth a visit. Found a delightful place to eat, Snoqualmie Brewery and Tap Room. We live on the east coast but hope to get the opportunity to visit the west coast again soon. more

Favorite of our Guests! 9/27/2007

My husband and I are transplants from Texas. So, we seem to have visitors every month or so. Every time we have guests in town, we try to make time for Snoqualmie Falls. Inevitably, Snoqualmie Falls ends up being everyone's favorite part of the trip. Highly recommended.\r \r No dogs are allowed on the premises though - we didn't know and brought our puppy. He was too little to leave him in the car, so I zipped him into my jacket. No one seemed to mind :)\r \r We were very disappointed by how very expensive Salish is. My hubby and I went up to Snoqualmie Falls for the first time on our one year anniversary. We decided to have lunch at the lodge. We took one look at the menu and gasped at how expensive it was. We consider ourselves ""foodies"" and regularly eat at nice restaurants all over Seattle - but I just can't believe the food is so extraordinary at Salish as to warrant such ridiculous prices for something like a salad!\r \r Best advice - take a picnic and some hot chocolate! more

Best Places to Kiss in Washington! 7/31/2007

By far, the Best Place to Kiss in Washington States is Snoqualmie Falls Observation Deck! I had my first kiss ever there! more

Nice Falls 11/20/2006

Snoqualmie Falls are pretty nice, especially for the Seattle area. There are a lot of good places for photo ops...the gift shop is really cute. I can't say that they are the best falls in the country, but you should definately see them if you go to WA. Pros: Nice falls, busy of course during the summer more

If you like romance 5 star...this is it! 2/2/2004

No matter what the event is, this is ""the place"" to go. If you have guests in town ....no matter what the event......take them for drinks and snacks at the ""Pub"", which is located above the main restaurante, and is less formal and more relaxed. Casual environment, young attentive staff, great selection of wines and beers, and the cocktails are superb. Ask the staff for a tour of their ""wine cellar"", and select your own small batch vintage. Pros: Ambience, Privecy, Natural Environment Cons: , Can be crowed in the more

Very Pretty 6/8/2003

If you are one your way to or from Seattle, Snoqualmie Falls is a great place to stop. I wouldn't make it a specfic destination though. You can hike down or just look over the railing. Salish Lodge is a ritzy place to eat. more

New to the area 5/25/2003

A must for locals and tourists alike, if you enjoy the outdoors and a lite hiking opportunity. My husband and I loved the falls. The hike down to the bottom was worth the view and the interesting water/power turbines on the down hike is interesting for those who enjoy technology. Pros: natural, unblemished, beautiful more

Gold 11/21/2002

Nice table with great view of the falls, but after we finished dinner, the sun went down and it became very dark. We were then unable to see the falls. I think they should somehow put lights onto and behind the falls for people such as me, people looking for a romantic evening. Other than that the service was great, but may have not been worth the price I paid. Pros: View before dark, Service Cons: View after dark, Location more

Wow. . . a waterfall 10/4/2002

Not so cool. It's just a waterfall. Then again I'm from Hawaii where I see a waterfall every single day. Maybe it's not so boring if you're from somewhere else. more

Beautiful Northwest Getaway 9/13/2002

Snoqualmie Falls has a very natural Northwest beauty. There are numerous visitors so don't expect to be secluded. But a trip to the bottom of the falls is really something fun during the summer months. I've found no better place to escape the eastside suburban sprawl than Snoqualmie Falls. It's close (about 45 minutes from Seattle). It's free. It's peaceful. The hike to the bottom and back is pretty steep so be careful if you're elderly or bringing small children. Pros: Beautiful, Convenient, Relaxing Cons: Sometimes crowded more

SOOTHING, CALM & RELAXING 9/3/2002

Walk the path, it gives a BEAUTIFUL view for you to see ""Snoqualmie Falls"" There's also a path you could take to walk nearby the falls, take that if you get the chance! You'll get to be So close to the waterfall you'll want to touch it =) The 3 hour drive was worth it. This isn't something I could see everyday, although wish i could! Something quiet and tranquil! Pros: soothing, great view, relaxing Cons: bad gift shop more

A great hiking and dining experience 8/30/2002

My mother in law was visiting us from Texas and we wanted to take her someplace special. She wanted to experience the great outdoors and we also wanted to take her to a place for a nice dinner. Snoqualmie falls is the best. It has a great scenery to hike through and to gaze at the falls. The restaurant is unbelievable. The food is great and they do everything to make sure that it is your best dining experience. more

Must See for visitors! 8/22/2002

The ""falls"" is a great site for visitors or Seattelites who have not had the chance to see the wonderful and serene environment. Make sure to bring plenty of film and visit the gift shop while you are there. more

A Breathtaking sight! 8/18/2002

A breathtaking sight which is surprizingly close! This would be a great place to propose or for a family outing. One of the areas best kept secrets I would say. Allow 2-3 hrs for the visit as the walk up is a challenge....so take it slow....dont miss a thing! Take your camera. At 46 yrs of age, not too much takes my breath away any more....but this sure did! Pros: no crowds, no cost, good workout Cons: steep hike back up more

worth the drive! 8/14/2002

I went here with a group of friends and had a great time. You can hike down to the falls and sit on the rocks as you watch nature at its best. Though it's a bit of a drive, it's worth it. Pros: beautiful more

Romance is in the air! 8/7/2002

Perhaps I am biased, as my fiance proposed to me here, but Snoqualmie is exquisite, even on a cloudy day. Romantic, breathtaking, and beautiful! Pros: romantic, good parking more

Great for kids 7/31/2002

On a warm day, it's a very child-friendly hike for kids and the water is the best incentive for kids to hike. If you don't want to get all wet, try lunch at Salish Lodge and the train ride between Snoqualmie Falls and North Bend. You can also combine it with outlet shopping in North Bend. more

Breathtaking 7/26/2002

Had a wonderful time at the falls, the view was gorgeous, as was the gift shop and lodge. more
