Went last week on a date. What a great place, we got great service, good wine, and the food. We had these ribs with fried corn on the cob, and this chipolte molten cake, washed down with a little Domaine Serene. I don't think it could have got much better than this. great neighborhood place 5/24/2006

I live 2 blocks away from Smash and am quickly becoming a regular. The glass pour list is huge, I counted like 45 wines by the glass, their flighs are fun also.The service has been warm and approachable always, no attitude here. The menu is fun also, I especially like the cheese offerings as well as th lamb skewers. It sure is nice to have a real wine bar within walking distance. We went last week, it was great. 12 cheeses, wine flights, great food, personalized wine pairings. Our server was very attentive and so was the bartender. The prices were great too. This is my new spot. Pros: Food, Cheese, Wine more

Service is very attentive, Jeffery's wine selections and pairings are fantastic. He takes the time to tell every guest what they can expect from each glass. From the kitchen you can expect everything from snackable bites, to full plates, to decadent desserts. Pros: Educational more

great atmosphere! 5/20/2006

This past Thursday my friend and I ended up at Smash. We heard from a friend to check it out, and it exceded my expectations. Since it was fantastic weather, we decided to dine outside. The clams paired wonderfuly with the wine that was recommended! Since I am a cheese lover, it was exciting to look at all the American cheeses that were offered. Where the wine flows..... 5/20/2006

For a wine lover this is a great place to come across. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and had a great little lesson on the wine we were drinking by the bartender. We enjoyed wine flights, followed by a 6 oz glass of my favorite! With so much tasty food to look at we decided on the much talked about "tater tots" and a wonderful cheese flight. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great time. I can only say it was a little warm in the bar, but I can let that pass for great wine! Pros: good music, prices, conversation more

This place is great! It is refreshing to see a new place in the Wallingford area. My friends and I went there last Friday night. At 8 there was a short wait due to the bistro being so packed, but once we got out seats we were ready. We all had wonderful wine flights, a ton of food, and great cheese! Can't wait to come back! Jeffrey personalized our wine and talked to us about each different one. We sipped wine and nibbled on Crab Cakes and Duck Rolls, which were just as delightful as the wine.
