I do not know how to put to words how morally bankrupt I think this company is, so I will just post my most recent email to corporate (an email that was ignored). Dear Mr. Will...

I just came out of my first appointment 5/24/2012

I just came out of my first appointment and I have to say I loved it, I can't wait to be back next week. They planned a treatment customized just for me and my type of hair, I'm excited to never have to wax again :D more

I had been going to Sleek in Boca for 3 5/24/2012

I had been going to Sleek in Boca for 3 years and I just had my first treatment (Botox) in Ft. Lauderdale (I had vaser lipo there in the past, but this was my first non-surgical treatment there) and I'm glad I drove the few miles extra to stay with them. I started with laser hair removal a few years ago in Boca and then I was hooked. The laser hair removal took longer than I expected to see results, but the technicians explained that was to be expected with my hair/skin type. I did some additional research online and, sure enough, that's what everyone said. So, after about 6 treatments I was hair free. more

I have had two treatments at Sleek. I 5/24/2012

I have had two treatments at Sleek. I am very happy with the service. I never had to wait, they always take me at my scheduled time and both procedures were thorough and really made a big difference. All my questions were also answered very quickly. I had a light chemical peel and a microderm. I plan to go back on a monthly basis. I have recommended Sleek to all my friends. more

I absolutely love this place! Where can 5/24/2012

I absolutely love this place! Where can i Start.. Well i love the services! I have been coming here for about 2 years now. I originally came here to get rid of my unruly stubborn hair... no more waxing! yay! then once that was gone i spoke to the wonderful estheticians in the room about my severe acne i had on my back that ive had since high school. Now in my 20's.. how embarrassing :/ it was wonderful to have some private time and talk about my problems. they started me on chemical peels and a cleanser that cleared it all up! now i am so confident to wear a dress again! even though it does get busy some times and you have to wait, i guess it means that it is pretty popular!! keep it up sleek! more

Morally Bankrupt 12/10/2011

I do not know how to put to words how morally bankrupt I think this company is, so I will just post my most recent email to corporate (an email that was ignored). Dear Mr. Williams I am writing you as my last hope. I became a client at the Newbury Street location when I was an undergrad at BU many years ago. Initially, I loved it. The staff was warm and friendly and consistent. Since becoming a client I have purchased laser hair removal on my underarms and bikini twice (the first round didn't work), my full legs, navel, and upper lip. As well as microdermabrasion and a couple vials of lip injections. I recommended services to all my friends and know for a fact that at least four people are clients there because of me. I now deeply regret my endorsement. A few years ago while receiving a full leg treatment the clinician went over my ankle tattoo, causing 3rd degree burns. I went back the next day and had pictures taken by the manager at the time, Katie, and was given burn cream by one of the nurses. I decided to wait to see how it healed before accepting any compensation because at the time I had a lot of respect for the company and really liked Katie. After months it was clear it not only didn't heal well but had ruined the tattoo, which was a very meaningful tribute to my sister. By then Katie had left the company and I worked with Cheryl. The whole experience was horrible. She claimed to have none of the photographs taken or any record of the incident. Lucky, the nurse was still there and backed me up. After months and months of unreturned phone calls and email correspondence, Cheryl and I came upon the following deal. I had started removal treatment at the Rockoff Dermatology and Cosmetic Treatment Center in Brighton. They estimated that it would take a minimum of 8-12 treatments at $150 a treatment (I gave a copy of the form to Cheryl). We agreed that for compensation I would receive a vial of juvederm and touch-up laser treatments to the areas I had paid for until the hair was gone. It has been a legitamit disaster since. I had stopped keeping track of the management changes. Every appointment I make I am told I have no treatments left. I then have to explain the situation. They then claim to have no record. I then forward emails etc. They then find the information and begrudgingly give me my treatment. And repeat. The last time I had an appointment was told that despite the emails and a hand written note from Cheryl that is in my file, they will not honor the agreement because it didn't come from corporate. To say I am angry is an understatement. I have done my research, I know the company has faced numerous lawsuits for burns, last year for one that they paid $180,000 to fix. I never asked for compensation for the time I have had to take to fix this, or to cover the annoyance of constantly having to re-explain myself like I am some sort of scam artist, or the emotional distress of removing a tattoo dedicated to someone I love. I only asked for what I had to pay out of pocket. Can you please help my. I spoke with previous sleek employees and they said you cared and you are my last hope. I do not want to have to fight for myself anymore. I just want to finish up treatments without hassle and never step foot in that office again. Please help PS. I cant even count how many treatments I have had and I STILL HAVE HAIR. Probably because when the machine heads break, management tells the clinicians to continue giving treatments anyway ""because the clients will never know"" (this I was told by a former employee). more

STAY AWAY, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY 10/4/2011

TO BAD THERE'S NO NEGATIVE STAR, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THIS COMPANY DESERVE. AFTER I CANCEL MY APPOITMENT, AND THEY DID OFFER A REFUND IN THEIR CONTRACT, HOW ABOUT THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME MY $1,000 BACK. IT'S BEEN 5 MONTHS, I EVEN REPORT THEM TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND SHOW THE CONTRACT WHERE THEY SAID I WAS SUPPOSE TO GET A REFUNDS, STILL NOTHING. DR.LAGRASSO, PLEASE ADVISE YOUR STAFF AND OFFICE MANAGER, TO KEEP ETHICAL WHEN IT COMES TO BUSINESS, BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHO'S REVIEWING YOUR COMPANY COMMENTS.\r BAD SERVICE, BAD STAFFS, AND A RIPOFF... I NEED MY REFUND. i'M THINKING OF CALLING HELP ME HOWARD, OR SOMETHING. more

Wonderful surgeon 5/7/2011

Dr. Lagrasso is a wonderful surgeon. He very friendly and knowledgable. He performed a tummy tuck, eyelid surgery and vaser lipo on me. I look wonderful. All of the services were perfect and he was always available to answer my questions. I would recommend him to everyone. The staff is very caring and professional. more

STAY AWAY FROM SLEEK MED SPA 8/18/2010

I went to Sleek Med Spa seeking laser hair removal on my legs. I was promised a painless procedure. I was given third degree burns on my legs that left scarring. I called Sleek over and over, but never got a call back. I had to go to my own Dr. to get antibiotics, to clear out the severe infection that they gave me. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Disorganized, confused and very rude. If you are thinking about laser hair removal PLEASE DO NOT GO TO SLEEK MED SPA. SLEEK MED SPA IS A SHAM. STAY AWAY, DO NOT GET MIXED UP WITH THE MANAGER MICHELLE. more

Great deals No results!!! 12/2/2009

Back in April i decided to get a smartlipo done on love handles and lower stomach, so i check i few places and Sleek Med Spa seemed like a clinic that had the clients best interest in mind, so i went there they offered me a great deal i could not resist, i did it. The 1st thing that i didn't like was that the local anesthesia was not as affective, and the drugs they give you to be out of it weren't so great, but the hell with it was just 2hrs, but the recovery was also horrible, i was in a lot of pain for weeks, they say you can go back to work the next day.... the biggest lie ever, but i just ignored it because i was sure i was going to see results, month 1 went by and no results, doctor explained i was too swollen to see results, month 2 went by and the same thing, month 3 went by no results still, and the doctor said that would have to wait 6 months after the surgery to find out if i was gonna need a touch up or if i was fine..... 6 months later nobody called to set up an appointment, after the 7th month i was tired of waiting and i called them myself, to set up the appointment, saw the doctor he said i definitely need to have the procedure done again but i need to pay $500. I think this is ridiculous after paying so much money and going through all that pain and not getting any results because my love handles and my lower stomach still look the same way, they still want to make me pay $500, i tried complaining with them, LESLIE said she would call corporate to find out if they could do something for me, but she never called me back and when i tried to call their corporate office, i was on hold for almost 2 hours and nobody answered!!!! So i tell you, stay AWAY from Sleek Med Spa, once they get you money you are screwed!!!! Pros: They go the extra mile to get you a good deal. Cons: Once you pay, they forget about you. more

Skin looks better than ever 5/2/2009

I've had problem skin all my life, and decided I need to do something. I had a consultation at Sleek, and they gave me several options. I picked what I could afford.\r I had the microdermabrasion and it really worked wonders. Also, had some botox done and it really made the difference. \r I plan to keep up th botox. Very pleased with results\r Pros: very clean, professional staff more

CAUTION 4/20/2009

visited this establishment for a ""complimentary consultation"". I was interested in having some fillers and botox injected in my face. I had recently gone for 2 seperate consultations (one with a plastic surgeon and one at another ""medspa""). Both the doctor and other medspa suggested similar treatment with the price being within $200 of each other. The plastic surgeon I saw just a week before visiting this establishment told me that I needed 1-2 syringes of filler the cost being $600 for the first syringe and $350 for the second. TOTAL for 2 $950. He also said I didnt need much botox.... probably around 20 units and the cost would be $260. \r \r I was shopping at the Town Center Mall and passed by Sleek Medspa. It looked like a nice clean establishment. I entered the facility and was welcomed by the young lady at the desk. After speaking with her, she gave me an appointment for a ""complimentary consultation"" (no obligation) for that same day. I continuted my shopping and returned later for my scheduled appointment.\r \r When I returned to the facility, I was taken to the back by a different woman (she seemed very FAKE). She told me that I needed to have 2-3 syringes of juvaderm and the cost would be $650 per syringe. She said I would need botox injected into 3 different areas and also a ""brow lift"" with botox? The cost for the botox would be $650. I asked her how much they charged per unit, but was told it didnt work that way. I believe it is a legitamate question and deserved an answer, but she refused. She told me it was per ""area"" and it was what I needed. She asked if I was ready to have the services done today. I explained that I would have to think about it, and get back to her. She then began trying to convince me that I was getting a ""great deal"" and that the prices were only good for that day and that if I didnt do it today, it would cost me much more at a later date. I again told her that I would think it over and get back to her. She tried to get me to apply for credit to finance the procedure. I explained that I was NOT interested in financing. She was very rude and pushy. I will NOT be back to this facility again! I left this establishment feeling AWFUL about myself. The staff here tries to convince you that you need services that are not necessary. I explained that I didnt want 3 syringes of juvaderm, but was told by staff (said she was the manager?) that I didnt know what I was talking about, they are the professionals and that they knew what I needed. The staff tried to make me feel like a child, not professional at all!\r Pros: location Cons: shady and rude more

Very pleased with results 4/12/2009

I know I have spent too much time in the sun in my younger days, but I wanted to even out the blotches and appearance of my skin. The staff discussed several options with me before treatment and was very knowledgeable. While I know they are trying to sell, I felt that they did give me choices at different price ranges. I also had botox done and am very pleased. Spa is very clean and I felt comfotable Pros: caring, professional more

Great results 2/28/2009

After speaking with the manager, decided to go for the microdermabrasion treatment. I have always had trouble with my skin and never had great results. However, my skin looks great -- smooth, redness is gone, and it feels great. Definitely plan to go back for this treatment. Pros: treatment works Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

WORST customer service and SCAM! Poorly managed spa. 2/18/2009

I made appointment for botox, one area only for $325. I told them I had gift certificates, I brought them in and was then told (AFTER GIFT CERTIFICATES WERE ALREADY PURCHASED AND PAID FOR) that gift certificates can not be used on packages or ANY INJECTABLES (botox, fillers, etc). AND they have never seen a certificate like the ones I presented, not sure if they are ""legitimate"" or not. The manager refused to give me the contact info for her supervisor, but told me that her supervisor would be back in an hour. I waited for more than 2 hours, still NO SUPERVISER!!! The manager assured me that she would call me when supervisor (area manager) returned. I have recieved NO PHONE CALL or feedback. \r \r I explained that I drove 45 minutes from Wellington to make this appointment, also my husband took time off of work (which he would have earned more than $1,000) so that he could be home with our 5 year old so I could make this appointment. ALL FOR NOTHING!!!! What a waste of time and money. This manager was not very helpful and even spoke with the marketing company who sold the gift certificates. \r \r Also, she tried to call her superviser while I was in facility, but got ""no answer"". However, when I asked for a way to contact her supervisor, she told me ""she has NO phone number for her, no way to contact her, just when she shows up in facility"". We all know this is not true. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! I believe that the staff does not care about their customers and do NOT care if they are treated poorly or not. I am so dissapointed with the way I was treated, the customer service and the lack of knowledge by the ""manager"" of this spa. What happened to customer service? I thought this would be a nice convenient alternative than going to a doctors office, I was wrong.\r \r \r *ALSO.... dont believe all the positive comments, many are from staff of medspa. (something I was told before I ever visited this facility). Pros: convenient hours Cons: POOR management and customer service! SCAM SCAM SCAM more

Photo facial Great 2/8/2009

Okay - i wasn't sure it would work since I have had adult acne forever!. The photo facial really improved my looks and my skin is not as blotchy and has a smooth feel to it. The staff was great and calmed me down because I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. Very happy with results and plan to go again. Pros: great results more

I had a great experience - skin looks great 1/22/2009

I was at Boca mall and talked to several clients leaving Sleek - their skin looked great and I spoke to one gal who was satisfied. Based on my consultantation, I decided to have the microdermabrasion. While it was not inexpensive, I feel the results are amazing - my skin hasn't looked this good in years. While I did get a sales pitch, I feel I was not pressured (we all have ability to say no. I have made another appointment for laser hair removal - will let you know how it goes. Pros: results more

Terrible Experience 1/20/2009

I had mesotherapy done at Sleek Boca Raton about a year ago (I went in for a consultation for something else and was talked in to it). I asked about adverse side effects and the consultant said there were none (this probably should have been my first clue not to trust Sleek). After a few treatments, I noticed that I was seeing absolutely no improvement and my swelling was not going down. Both the aesthetician and the manager assured me it was normal and to get more treatments done. Around $1,500 later, it was clear that the procedure not only hadn?t worked, but had made things worse. I now have localized swelling on my inner thighs that will not go down. \r I let them know how unhappy I was with the whole process, but I was rudely told that I had signed a contract and there would be no compensation for what had happened.\r A couple months ago I received an email from the manager saying that things at Sleek had changed and that I should give them another chance. I assumed that this meant they would be allowing me to use the money I had wasted on mesotherapy on another procedure or at least receive some partial compensation. So I went in for a free consultation at Sleek Boston. Before I could even say what I was procedure I wanted, the consultant started GUESSING what I was there for. I found this incredibly insulting, particularly since she guessed wrong and managed to make me feel very insecure about a mole I have on my face. I was truly shocked by her appalling manners. On top of that, she tried to pretend that I was getting a $150 discount for my previous troubles, but this was actually a promotion I had received a coupon for over email!\r Sleek Medspa may seem like a convenient place to have cosmetic work done, but you?re infinitely better off going somewhere that cares about you as a customer and a person. I hope this post manages to save someone else from making the poor choice I made in going to Sleek. \r Pros: The locations are convenient Cons: Everything else (but particularly the staff, the atmosphere, rudeness, and general policies of the institution) more

Great spa - amazing hair removal results 1/10/2009

Decided to try the hair removal for my upper lip - it was quick, painless, and worth the money. I should have done this a long time ago. I plan to go back and explore other treatments - hair removal for legs and dermabrasion.\r \r Pros: great staff, courteous, professional more
