Alex is the best in town! She takes her time and I never feel rushed. She has a beautiful natural setting overlooking a pond. I always feel relaxed when I am in her shop. She uses only the best natural products on her clients and I am aware that this is a lifestyle choice of hers, not just what she does on the job. I always have that refreshed feeling after a session with her. I am on her table once every three months even though she tells me that I do not need it quite so often because it feels great. Met Alex through a friend who has been visiting her for about 5 years. I wanted several procedures done and she intoruduced me to Alex. I first had an eyebrow tint-amazing becuase I never had much eyebrows since about 13. Due to my own faults. They were unbeliveable. I had eyebrows with the proper care lasted three weeks. Then, I had a facial done with a light peel. I had some sort 5 clock shadow working. Alex removed a lot of the dead skin cells and my face felt like I had lost ten pounds of oils and dirt clogged in my pores. Then, I made the big leap. I wanted to do something a little more permanent for the brows. I travel a lot. I could not always go back for touch ups when I wnated it done. So, I went for it! I had little to no swelling and little to no pain. Alex was very patient as I fussed over the exact style and color. But, she would not let me make a fool of myself just because. It had to work with me. I had it done today and I have had several complenments already on how great they look. All from complete strangers. That says alot! Going to do a little eyeliner in a couple of months after I am healed from the brows. And yes , more facials!!!!! more

I have tried EVERYTHING for my skin (Accutane, mutiple antibiotics, Proactive, Avon, Beauty Control, Mary Kay, Aloette...the list goes on and on), and when my dermatologist basically told me that trying Accutane again was my only option since the antibiotics had ceased to work, I went hunting for something more holistic/natural. This was my first ever facial, so Alex had 29 years of untouched skin to work with, she had her work cut out, not only was my face sun-burned from the weekend, but it started to break out, that's the best time to see Alex by the way. Alex took her time and educated me along the way. I had one of her custom masks - algae, foot massage, brows waxed, brows & lashes tinted... everyone should try it, makes you look at least 5 years younger and refreshed. Once I arrived home, the redness of the sun-burn was almost completely gone and never peeled as I usually do with a burn. It's been almost 3 weeks later and my face still looks and feels amazing, soft and clear! I love that she uses almost 100% natural, organic products. It has been quite a while since my last facial,so Alex had her work cut out for her. Alex took her time with the facial, massaged my hands and feet, and waxed my eyebrows the way I like them. She tinted my eyebrows and lashes..... wow what a change. A subtle but awesome touch. Alex used algae based products that felt wonderful and hydrated my skin. First I would like to say that this Spa is conveniently located to my house and that's a big plus in my book!! (I'm an inner looper, but it's also close to major freeways and easy to get to.) I have been going to Skintopia for the past several months and have seen what the ""magician"" Alex has done to transform my skin into a radiant glow. My first session was educational and fun!! Once people commented on how my skin looked I was hooked. Alex takes her time with you, which I love...and she explains what products she will be using on you and what benefits you receive from it. The best part is that it's holistic and all natural. She uses a lot of Source Vital products but has a variety of others. There are several services she offers, such as waxing, lash extensions, permanent make-up and hair removal, just to name a few. Alex is the bomb!! I am so glad to tell you that I have been one of Alex's clients for several years - and I plan on staying a loyal client. Over the 10 years that she has been taking care of my skin, Alex has worked at some of Houston's most prestigious Salons such as ;Tova's, Bella Renova, Urban Retreat and Sensia. Clearly these large spas are a lot less personable and often push you into spending a lot more money! I don't know what I would do without Skintopia. Alex (the owner) is the best esthetician I've ever met. You can tell when you look at her own skin. She has great products and is constantly going to seminars to learn about the latest and best skin care products that are available and harmless (no chemicals) to your skin. Before I met Alex, my eyebrows were asymmetrical and thin, until she came in and fixed them so that they looked fuller and healthier. She also gives the best brazillians. They are so quick and painless. Her wax keeps your skin smooth for days/weeks. Her spa is beautiful and peaceful. Alex is extremely flexible and perfect at her job. I had an emergency Brazilian wax performed by Alex last week at Skintopia! Alex is extemely personable and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed during the wax. She is very precise, fast and there was very little pain involved! I love the results and she is SO reasonably priced for being so excellent and close in town. The spa is beautiful - overlooking a wooded creek just off TJ Jester and 610 loop. I'm so happy to have a convenient neighborhood spa in our Garden Oaks / Oak Forest area.
