Took my board in to be waxed. Picked it up TWO days later and it looked like hell. Had the same deep scratches that it had when I dropped it off. WHATS WITH A SNOWBOARD SHOP THAT ...

Best snowboard shop Ive ever gone to hands down!!!! James, Clint and Anne are the best and they really know and love snowboarding and they prove it by how Knowledgeable about every product they believe in and carry and everything they dont carry, Strongly recommend, if your having problems figuring out what board you want to ride then go pay a visit to them and I guarantee they put you into the right snow slashing machine !!!!!!!!!!!! more

Side Effects Best board shop in TOWN!! 2/28/2011

I recently bought a new snowboard at Side Effect! The owner and his wife Im guessing are always in there. Hands down the nicest, down to earth people I have met in Bend. They had great customer service and had a great knowledge of what they were selling. They not only had a better sale going on they had better prices to start with. I would recommend this shop to any one that wants good advice not pushy sales people and respect your budget! Will definitely go back many times!!! more

Love Side Effect Boardshop 12/4/2010

While visiting Bend, I was looking for souvenirs for the fam and friends and stopped in at Side Effects Boardshop. The folks working in the shop were very helpful and friendly, also knowledgeable. A really sweet young woman was extremely patient with me because I had no idea what I was looking for. I left with great stuff and a fun experience. Side Effects Boardshop helped make my shopping experience in Bend wonderful. more

I was Christmas shopping for my children and Grandchild and didn't know what to get. I found the staff @ SEBS to be soo helpful, as well as soo friendly, I got carried away; but no problem! ... they carried my packages to the car for me too! Had an amazing shopping experience at Side Effect Board Shop,137 SW Century Dr! Love love love that store!!! So happy I discovered it!!! more

Inquire as a Buyer! 10/3/2008

Not sure how old ""Juanny"" and ""Swami"" are, but before you purchase something at any store, you should probably ask them what their return policies are. I'm sure their employees would've told you you can get credit for your return...then you could've made an educated decision on buying or not...case in point, just bought a board there for my son and I asked them what their return policy was and they told me...store credit...so there you go. Can't blame other's for being naive! Own it! =) more

Terrible service and policies 4/19/2007

Terrible! Fraud! Stay Away!\r \r I purchased an Item with CASH and tried to return it 25 minutes later, unopened with a reciept and was told by that same person who sold it to me that I could not get a refund. When I asked for an explanation, none of the employees could give me one. They even had to call someone else to figure out how to give me my store credit I won't be using.\r \r Terrible service, terrible policies. Take your business elsewhere! more

First to take your $$, last to help if it breaks... 12/29/2006

I had a snowboard boot strap break on day 2 of being on the mountain. I took it to Side Effect, where I bought it and they were absolutely no help. They wouldn't even give me the number of the manufacturer's customer service. So much for wanting to support the local economy? I'd stick with a larger chain like REI. No hassle return policy and you get credit for making a purchase. more
