Shuren Upholstery & Drapery

I used Shuren many years ago. A man whose last name was Carmichael reupholstered an old chair that I had done and another gentleman named Mike came out about 10 years ago and did a couch and sold me a chair frame from his shop which he upholstered. I was pleased with the work. I have recommended them several times over the last 20 or so years. The cost was reasonable and Mike came right out when I needed a repair made to the cording. \r \r :My suggestion to customers. Fabric choice is key.Make sure the color and fabric can stand up to professional cleaning. I chose a heavy white brocade (French Provincial) and the professional recommended to me by Mike would not touch it. I did find a cleaner who would tackle it.\r When I have it covered again, I will not go so "fru, fru." more

I took an antique rocking chair here about 2 years ago - it was given to my husband from his parents - it had belonged to a great grandmother I believe. It was rotting away in the basement. They had tons of fabrics to choose from and were helpful (I believe I mostly dealt with the owner, ?? Shuren). He let us take multiple fabric books home, no problem. They took the chair apart, cleaned it up, put it back together and of course re-padded and re-upholstered the seat. It looks gorgeous! I plan to take more furniture there shortly. more
