A few years ago, Commissioner Sherrie Hayashi allowed two Law Judges to shred files of claimants on upcoming workmens compensation hearings and her decision making skills and skill as an attorney have not improved!!! Flanked by diploma mill HR staff and incompetent attorneys from tier 4 law schools like Creighton who regularly hide files in the parking garage and shred those that they do not like Commissioner Hayashi's Civil Service acumen has not improved much. The Wage Claim Unit runs a backlog and is run by a staff of abusive intake officers. The EEO staff regularly gathers around the intake meeting rooms to gawk and make fun of intake clients and then hash out the cases over lunch with the Wage Claim staff. The Workmens Comp area speaks for itself after the actions of Debbie Hann and Richard La Jeneuse who were never fired after the shredding party. I strongly recommend that you take your matter directly to District Court and send your bill for filing to the Labor Commission citing its incompetence. Or better yet, send your bill for filing fees to the load-in-his-pants Governor Herbert who has no college degree and stays away from it all instead of monitoring it as he should because he is dumber than a sled dog too.
