We've been taking our cars to Shawnee Service for over 35 years and have always received excellent service and honest opinions about what our car needs. A few months ago Toyota informed us that we should take our RAV4 into a dealership because of a safety recall. The dealership performed the recall work and also told us we needed several hundred dollars worth of additional work. Being skeptical, we had Phil take a look at the list of items the dealership suggested we replace. Phil looked up our service record and inspected the car and said that the work the dealership suggested was not needed at that time. We trust Shawnee with our cars. more

My 16 year old Honda Civic's heat and air conditioning stopped working properly (fan moved air into the passenger compartment with no hear and with intermittent cooling). I had an unexpected opportunity to drop off my car at Shawnee on a Saturday for this repair, and they took and held the car over the weekend. They always call to let me know if/what repairs are needed, priorities, cost, and estimated time to repair. I approved the work in this case, replacement of the motor/valve that regulate whether hot or cold air is blown into the passenger compartment. I picked up the car the next Tuesday, the estimated date. Repairs were as estimated. I did have to bring the car back a couple days later when I noticed what I thought was unrelated, slightly unusual, internmittent noise and hitch in car speed. Shawnee looked at the car immediately, though it took about 5 - 10 minutes for the issues to show themselves. They realized it related to the compressor, and had the car ready for me at no charge later that afternoon. I could not have expected more immediate, effective service, and will continue to bring my car to Shawnee for regular maintenance and repairs as I have done for a number of years now. more

What I like best about Shawnee is how they listen to what your problem is and honestly tell you if it can be fixed, how much it will cost, and if it is really necessary. I am so happy that I can rely on Shawnee to take care of my car in the most economical way possible. more
